I took a chance long shot and posted on a forum run at my ISP. Some may like to look at it, especially the posts towards the end with the header details, and an explanation why the email trouble exists. I am indeed considering posting the link to Hummy Forum admin.

@goggled

I've made a reference to this thread, and a link to the Plusnet thread, on Hummy.org. It is in relation to a posting about email notifications of posts not getting through, and I think it may be the same problem.

Thanks to you, and the Plusnet forum members for following it through.

I hope it means something at Hummy.org.

Rgds.

Les.

The emails that appear to get through all seem to be from Gmail accounts, and it states in the registration process that Gmail and Hotmail account holders must pay £5 per year to use that type of 'free' email address because of potential spam problems, so it could be a different process if trying to register with a 'free' email address.

If you post the username you are trying to join with, I'll follow that up.

I am getting :-[quote][Your account has been activated but you are currently in the moderation queue to be added to the forum./QUOTE]

Do they want members or not. I may not have endeared myself to Barry, however I see no reason why i should not be approved.

Can you help?

How long has this problem existed, and still without solution?

Someone needs to extract the digit, or it even could be his whole hand from where it is currently lodged

If it is the hosting co, then get rid of it and go somewhere else, would be a good move IMO.

Hi,

My username is justinclarke on the hummy forums, I signed up and activated my account about 5 days ago now. But I still can't post. My email address is at my own domain and I received the emails fine.

Is there something I am missing?

@ justinclarke
I examined the mem list and you do not appear on it.
Personally I would be patient: I think it's not that large an org!

You should receive IIRC an activation email, but I had probs when I lost my password as my ISP bounced it, as sender domain was not found. See my enquiries with the ISP. Mail from the forum to web based account seemed toworked Ok.
