Linda is one of the nicest reality tv contestants ever!
I watch a lot of these shows and have been overwhelmed at what a lovely, humble, warm lady Linda is. Not one contestant has a bad word to say about her. Joan Rivers once said that Linda is one of the few people in showbiz who she has not heard one bad word about.
She never grumbles, never complains and is genuinely loving every minute of it. I really think she deserves to win. So go on, if you are going to vote, make it for Linda! |

I agree, she's lovely. She also been an entertaining contestant, which is sometimes lost when someone is continually nice and gracious. Go Linda!

She's been an absolute sweety. A lovely, genuine woman and I hope she wins tonight (though I like Ade too)

She has been a fabulous contestant. No airs or graces and has throughly enjoyed the experience.

Lovely isn't she?
I can't understand where she got the 'diva' reputation....unless I'm thinking of the wrong Dynasty actor. |

Linda came across as a really lovely person, full of life, and a hard worker. Amazed she found the stamina over the last two weeks as she is much older than most of the others.

It was a pleasure to see such a genuine person. We all could learn a lot from her. Congratulations to Linda on winning.

I agree, lovely woman who deserved to win. Ade is one of my comedy heroes but I didn't mind one iota that Linda won instead of him, good on her

Glad to see a woman win a reality TV show without flirtation or assuming victim status - just winning because they were the best and nicest!

Linda made the series! She so deserved it.
"Where's my crab?!" and "What's a wanker?" Hahaha

You know, Ade is a fine bloke - from Vivien to the guy he plays in Holby; but Linda - - - what an absolute lady - dignity & charm and intelligence - but over all that, just someone you would love to know - the most deserved "reality" TV winner ever.

I've watched her body language and when something doesn't go her way she automatically, without hesitation congratulates the other person/s. No thinking about it for a few seconds and never as an after thought. Seems like a genuinely nice lady. Glad she won.

She`s just been on This Morning with Ade and she looked stunning - she was so gracious, saying Ade was the best cook out of everyone.

I saw that too, Olga - what a lovely interview with Linda and Ade - Linda comes across as a really lovely person. And interesting comments from Ade about Marco, that he laughs a lot, about himself as well, and is kind, big-hearted, sensitive and emotional 80% of the time, is stern 10% of the time when teaching and puts on his TV act for the remaining 10% of the time.

Linda won fair and square for doing her best and being a genuinely lovely, decent person with no ego - a rarity on tv - which is exatly what the viewers picked up on and what voters responded to. It was one of the most feel-good finishes to any reality show that I can recall. |

Philip said on his Twitter that straight after that interview she was boarding a flight back to Seattle and planned to go out for dinner when she got there and was certainly not cooking!

Masterchef is a cooking contest. Hell's Kitchen is sweet bugger all to do with cooking. Nobody ruined anything.
Linda won fair and square for doing her best and being a genuinely lovely, decent person with no ego - a rarity on tv - which is exatly what the viewers picked up on and what voters responded to. It was one of the most feel-good finishes to any reality show that I can recall. The format was different and the GBP certainly didn't ruin anything IMO. I also agree that it certainly had that feel-good factor as Linda was, indeed, a very worthy winner. It was so refreshing to see someone who was modest yet hardworking and who didn't whinge or whine about whatever she was given to do - a real team player. |
