Music and media on HDR

Hi,

Was experimenting last night with moving music onto the HDR and interested in other peoples experiences. My view is that if we can't use the 30Gb set aside for video, I might as well use it for music and replace my ipod dock.

I tried using a 1Gb memory stick, but it the box wouldn't recognise any music on there. Do the files need to be in folders? Anyone know?

Also, can you connect a PC straight into the box for bulk downloading. My presumption is not, as both PC and HDR will be acting as masters, with no slave. I tried connecting my external HDD but must have it formatted in non FAT as the box rejected it.

I also tried to see if I could use a network cable, but to no avail.

Either way, anyone with any tips on bulk downloads would be gratefully received.

I don't have an ipod but aren't the files on them .acc or .aac or something like that? they need to be .mp3 files to work on the foxsat HDR

The ethernet port is yet to be made operable

As for bulk downloading I think you're limited by your hardware ie usb stick at present until you reformat your Ext Hdd

Music is a waste of time as it is. You have to either have the TV on all the time or switch it off and on every time it gets to the end of a folder.
