Heston bloomin' Blumenthal would probably jump at the chance, he seems to be cropping up everywhere at the moment.

Personally I wouldn't mind if Marco's mate Raymond Blanc has a shot at it, I don't think he'd be interested though.

I can't imagine Heston doing it - he seems too chilled. I'm sure I saw Gary Rhodes on a similar thing once and he was even more moody than Marco. I like Marco though, and his silly little sayings. A tree without roots etc...

Can't imagine Raymond Blanc doing it either - too posh. The Restaurant is a reality show, but it has the right amount of posh people on it, not to be too common

Brian Turner might be ok. Although I would love to see someone like Bill grainger do it - that would be the happiest kitchen ever.

I don't even want to think of it without Marco

But if I had to I suppose Heston would be a good replacement, but how the hell would they cope with the 'food alchemist' and some of his creations?! The man's an absolute perfectionist Would make good TV though, but isn't he tied by contract to C4? Raymond Blanc does 'The Restaurant' on BBC2 doesn't he so I can't really imagine him wanting to do Hell's Kitchen too. Jamie Oliver would be an interesting choice but once again he's tied up with C4, they seem to have a lot of the Chefs in exclusive contracts.

Maybe ITV could find a new, young and exciting chef

Someone suggested Jamie Oliver to me, gosh I would switch off for good if he took over

I want Marco to keep doing it as he is so perfect in HK

(thumps fist into the air): "MARCO!...MARCO!...MARCO!..."

As that famous Highlander quote goes...."There can be only one!"

Anthony Worral Thompson might be a good choice and he needs the cash! lol

Also, how about James Martin or Ainsley Harriet? Not michelin starred chefs but it'd be interesting to see how they'd handle it. The two weeks in the kitchen would probably be the longest stint either one has done in a kitchen in recent years.

If Marco doesn't do it, then HK shouldn't happen. Full stop.

The past two series were the absolute best, and Marco's made it his own. If he hangs up his bandana for good, I'll be devastated!

Having said that though, I did just think of Joel Robuchon. He holds the most Michelin stars in the whole world, and I just remembered what Ramsay wrote about him in Humble Pie:

Ramsay, in his autobiography Humble Pie, talks of Marco Pierre White, his famously flamboyant and volatile mentor, looking like a "****ing pussycat" compared with Robuchon, adding that working in his Paris kitchen was like being in the SAS.

^^From an article about Robuchon in The Independent.

Hmm. Scarier than Marco? A possibility? Only if it was with joe public though, not celebs.

How about Angela Hartnett?

She is familiar with Hell's Kitchen as she worked in Hell's Kitchen alongside Gordon Ramsay when he was running it so she is well used to the set up and format.

But she's so annoying with her whiney voice

good choice - I reckon that she could be tough enough too - anybody too populist will not get the right atmosphere. it needs somebody with a proven track record as a top-notch chef - plus the capacity to make the pressure seem 'hellish'.

I've met her and she has something about her.

In that case you might need to rename the show from Hell's Kitchen to Hell's Bitchin'

What about Marcus Wareing - I really don't like him too much, too superior by far, but he could make feathers fly in HK - and I don't mean the poultry variety.

Gino Gino Gino. I'd watch it just for the view. I love Gino. Especially when he gets all excited and talks over everybody and gets agigitated on Ready Steady Cook when they're too busy gabbing to the host to do what he's asked them to do!

I do think Marco is the best for Hells Kitchen, but how about Nicholas that actually brought the results back each evening. I would love too see him behind the kitchen as a head chef that's if his waitering to tables is anything to go by lol, now that would be classic, funny and entertaining. It could be Hell's Kitchen celebrity chef instead, with the othe celebs in the kitchen too. . Can he cook? Or just put Ade in charge then......
