I use subtitles when watching TV and since I've had my Humax I've found that on many of the recordings the subtitles are out of sync with the screen. But not all the recordings have this fault so I'm not sure if this problem is in the Humax. I've searched through the manual and the only reference to adjusting sync is lip-sync to audio, which of course does not apply here. Has anyone else who uses subtitles had this problem?

All the episodes of Lewis were way out of synch.

I only turn the subtitles on in about 5% of cases and then usually just for an important line or two, but it happens quite often. The degree varies from completely useless to just annoying.

I certainly suspect the transmission.

Do you also have the problem that the subtitles don't correctly clear and you often get them overwritting earlier lines which makes them very hard to read? That, I believe, is a fault with the box.

Yes, I get this problem but I can usually decipher it sufficiently to follow the conversation. But it is very confusing when the subtitles are five seconds ahead because you get the subtitles for the next scene while watching the present scene.
