It's not just Nick though. SAS said she's been talking to people as if they're dirt back at the penthouse too. I don't mind her too much during tasks, though she's very bossy, but she's horrid in the boardroom.

Absolutely agree. Are Nick and Margaret untouchable as well as infallible?

I can't stand Debra but I can understand why she might feel aggrieved if Nick, who holds tremendous sway over Sugar, is giving the wrong opinion.

On a separate note, that's two weeks on the trot that Nick and/or Margaret have been supportive to two of the most aggressive, male candidates. The three of them have some quirky opinions on acceptable behaviour.

There's a "debra" in almost any decent sized office. And they generally make life hell for somebody as part of their daily routine. I would personally much rather work alongside an alpha male like ben than a hideous self-righteous harpy like debra, any day of the week. She would suck the optimism and synergy out of any situation she was in, not a good person to be trapped in a team with.

Maybe Debra got a bit overheated, but she has a lot of passion and fire and if she could contain it a bit more... I think she will get to the final interview stage at least. The only person she is up against in this competition is... herself.

Watching Debra and watching Ben, he is all 'bite' and little substance, but I genuinely do think Debra could be a very good candidate if she reigns it in a little bit.

Really - I think she'll be mincemeat in the interview stage, she's inarticulate and doesn't come across as intelligent - just loud, good seller but that's about it

surely suralun wants someone who can act professionaly in a board room situation even when under attack.

She acted so unprofessionaly, and (what irks me) is that she didn't even have the grace to apologise when it was pointed out to her.

Rude cow!

I agree. The interviewers do NOT make it easy for them.
I bet she starts shouting or slagging the others.
Goodbye, good riddance.

I once had someone like Ben as my immediate superior. He asked me to write a report which he later took to a board meeting and passed off as his own: ring any bells?

In the true commercial world one can't draw attention to this sort of behaviour as it would appear unprofessional - but in the make believe world of The Apprentice Debra had no such restriction and didn't hesitate to put Nick and Ben right.

Good for her.

Debra comes across as quite an unpleasant person, and not someone I'd want to work with. She's clearly looking out for no1, which is great, but has such a harsh, agressive manner to her.

Not my cup of tea.

I can't stand her...she's purely in it for entertainment value. How she could earn £100k, or any of them for that matter (altho Kate is very good) is beyond me....just goes to show what kind of people must apply overall if this is the creme de la creme?!

Watching Debra's reaction last night - I felt she was almost wanting Ben to take her into the boardroom. She wanted a fight. She wanted to be taken into that boardroom and wipe the floor with both those men. Her manner is terrible and she needs to correct that. People won't want to deal with someone like that. She's not all that and it's time she realised that. She needs to find a happy medium between herself and someone like Noorul *lol*

Probably a horrid person to be around in a business environment, but she's great for the telly.

Debra steam-rolling over Ben in the boardroom (the worm finally meets his match!) and her total unself-consciousness when she was shouting at Nick was TV brilliance.

I hope so. Debra does need to show she can control herself.

(PS kudos for appropriate use of the word "fulsome".)

Gosh, really? Do you think that might be why she said, "Totally - you can bring me in mate - I'm well up for it" when he mentioned her name?

We see agressive characters like Debra every year, and they don't usually win. But I do like them if they're agressive for the right reasons. If they're doing it just to pick on people (like Jenny C) or for fame (like Katie) I don't like them.

But if they are agressive in a fair way, like standing up to stupid or arrogant people, usually team leaders (like Tre did with Rory, or Kristina did with Paul), or if they show a softer side later on (like Claire and Jadine), and if they say it how it is, then I like them. At least it shows they have some sense of honour.

Whatever you think of Debra, she does have that honourable streak - you have to admire her for putting herself forward for Ben to take her back into the boardroom instead of James. It's better than those who try to cover their arses and manipulate to stay out of the boardroom (i.e. Alex). She was out of line with Nick though, but again, I did respect her for fighting her corner well. Hopefully she'll learn from that.

I also liked it how Debra stood up to Ben in the boardroom, and pointed out what an idiot he actually was. It reminded me of how the Badger sorted Mani out after he blamed her for going along with a bad marketing idea (which HE came up with!), and how she sorted out Syed in the boardroom a few weeks later.

If Ben hadn't taken Noorul back in, Debra would have talked him into the ground for sure. I hope she's in the boardroom with him again so she can finish him off - and it would be good to see her crush Philip as well.

Well done Debra, didn't see a problem with her talking back to Nick. After all, Nick is a PR man whose expertise is in spinning the truth.
