Nick has gone down in my opinion this series. He's becoming far too judgemental especially in the Boardroom. he's become a real busy-body this series. Someone needed to take him down a peg or two. Good for Debra for voicing her opinion. Anyone agree?

Nope, I don't agree. It's to do with respect for elders and betters.

I don't agree either.

Although I agree he's a bit too judgemental recently, she should have more respect and therefore should not have spoken to him in that way.

Could you EVER trust that harpy to be civil to difficult but necessary clients???

I agree with you OP, I've said something similar on another thread.

Debra did do much of the ground-work and led the sale of the book. Why should Ben get the glory?

Nick was being unfair and my gut instinct (god I sound like Lorraine now!) tells me he knew it.

At any rate, I didn't notice any shouting. Debra was just making herself heard.

I disagree, she had no right.

Did you see his face when Debra started shouting at him? It was priceless.

He looked guilty/rumbled.

And I honestly don't believe I saw Debra do any shouting. She was just speaking up for herself. She was very eloquent and precise in what she said. I was cheering her on.

I think Debra was right although she should have controlled herself a bit better

Nick was being an arse

No I do not agree.

I think Debra was right, and she had every right to disagree with what Nick was saying. She probably should've shown more "respect" (I didn't think she was that bad though) but I have a feeling she would've been told to shut up anyway, even if she disagreed in a more polite manner.

I actually kind of liked the fact that she wasn't afraid to show that she disagreed with Nick, and I think he will like that too. I remember reading an interview with him and Margaret last year and they both said something about people trying to suck up to them earlier on in the series and how transparent it was. Debra stood her ground and didn't just let Ben take the credit he didn't deserve for the sake of keeping on Nick's good side. Good for her.

Nope, I think she was totally out of order. She is too 'up herself' and showed no respect to her elders and betters IMO. She was too aggressive. When Suralan told her to zip it you could see by the look on her face that she hadn't a clue how rude she was.

I think her delivery was poor but she made extremely valid points.

Absolutely was not right to shout at Nick. I could see her point, but she didn't have to put it across that way. She could have said it much more calmly and professionally.

There is a way of talking to people and I think that was the issue Sir Alan had. She may have had a valid point but, if you put it across as she did all merit is lost.

Well, I can understand why Debra shouted out the way she did, because I think Nick was being very unfair to her. It would take quite a lot of control to stop from losing it when faced with that. However, she should know that it is far from appropriate to speak like that, and I half-thought SAS would have fired her just for that. But I was pi**ed off that Nick was talking pants...

She probably could have expressed herself better and more 'respectfully', but she had a point. Nick's comments were a bit baffling tonight in general not just his harshness towards Debra, he gave Ben credit for selling the skeleton and then blamed Noorul for not getting enough money on it, how exactly does that work?

Like most people here, no she was NOT right to talk to him like that, not only was it rude of her, but consider the fact that Nick is part of the interview panel. Now if you went for a job interview and talked to one of the panel like that, would you be expecting a call offering you the job? Don't think so.

Nick was actually wrong or at least misleading in what he said. That doesn't excuse Debra jumping down his throat though; she needs to take a deep breath and count to ten before she speaks.

Yeah, I didn't really get that either. Noorul did NOT agree to the £60, or whatever - that was Ben. Although Noorul should've spoken up and said - "nope, not enough money" - and walked away.

On principle she shouldn't have talked to him like that but this show has now become a slightly more sophisticated Big Brother so why not? If the producers and the BBC treat the show like crap why should the candidates be any different?

All she said was "How can you say that?".
It's not as though she said anything that bad to him. She just fought for what she believed. I don't think she actually said anything out of turn to him.

If Nick criticises her and she believes him to be wrong, she should feel she has the right to defend herself against what she believes to be wrong.

Nick was quite correct throughout - you can negotiate all you like, but a deal needs closing and Ben did that - which was SAS's question. He then allowed Sugar to deal with the problem, whichw as deferring to the relevant person. Debra is too fond of the sound of her own voice and goes into one
quite often. You do not make a point by shouting (immature twits like Ben might think so) - you make it clearly and succinctly, especially when dealing with someone, who is de facto your superior.

He was also right on YF to refer to her as a "graduate of a charm school".

It's all to do with tone and appropriacy. Deborah fell down on both IMHO. If she disagreed with Nick there are more eloquent ways she could have vocalised it.
