I agree with you on both points which seemed to me that Nick seemed a bit too desperate to fight Ben's corner at both Nooral and Debra's expense.

So in this respect, I don't blame Debra for taking issue with Nick that he got his facts wrong. In fact, Nick himself didn't seem too upset or phased about it on the BBC2 show.

Nick fa too vocal this season. Got something against Nooral and defending Ben like there is no tommorow. He needs to shut up the show is not about him.

Yes thats exactly it, he seemed hell bent on defending Ben and was disproportionately harsh on both Nooral and especially Debrah.

Nick really is being judgmental this series imo, as opposed to just reporting and making witty comments as he usually does. His dislike of Nooral from the beginning for instance, or that time when he insisted Howard was lucky to not get fired for not helping a sandwich shop owner sell sandwiches.

Nick has been quite clearly bullying Debra and Noorul since the start. My letter to OFCOM us already in the post- first class stamp with petition enclosed.

His crush on Ben is quite sweet though (just don't tell Mona)

I have wondered for some considerable time why Nick and Margaret's views should be treated as sacrosanct, and why hadn't they been challenged by the contestants. I was quite pleased Debra had a go, but she could have challenged more diplomatically.

Debra was on a hiding to nothing - keep schtum and let Ben take the credit for her effective contribution to the sale, or point out that Nick was ignoring the fact that closure on the deal was only made possible because of her groundwork.

Ben is very clever at taking credit for the efforts of others - I'm surprised that Nick is so gullible.

Debra knew that Nick was not giving a fair account, so it was absolutely right that she spoke up. I didn't see what was disrespectful about it; she was impassioned, but I didn't think she was aggressive or offensive.

Being older than someone else doesn't deserve respect of itself. Why shouldn't everyone treat everyone else with respect, at least until they've shown they don't deserve it?

Nick was out of order tonight - someone needed to take him down a peg.

He needlessly stuck the knife into Noorul as well with his fatuous statement about 'closing' the skeleton deal.

Unobjective. Much!

Is anyone going to confess to finding Debra oddly sexy at times?

EVERYONE seems to be forgetting - WE see an edited highlight of a whole days boardroom shooting!!!!

Debrabarr was - simply - appallingly rude! They all get a chance to defend themselves, and all she did was interrupt.

No. It wasn't so much that I disagreed with what she was saying - more the way she was saying it. She has no tact or diplomacy whatsoever, and everything she says sounds like she is being rude. And she was very very silly to speak to him like that - she should have known that SAS wouldn't like it one bit.

I thought Debra was right and was just expressing her opinion that Nick was wrong, for Sugar to shout at her and to tell her not to speak to Nick like a 2nd class citizen when he then did the same to her !!!

There's a difference between expressing an opinion and being rude. I took Debra's point (I agreed with her), but she really needs to learn some diplomacy, because she just seems so rude all the time. I wouldn't employ her, because I could never trust her not to be rude to customers/clients.

Debra was rude and was lucky to have stayed IMO.

I've never liked her face, there is something very mean about it and last night she showed herself up.

She may well have had a point but her attitude and delivery was embarressing.

There are right and wrong ways of dealing with a situation like that. Debra handled it wrongly and needs to rein herself in if she has any chance of becoming the next apprentice.

I don't agree with the OP. Her behaviour was unbelievable. The fact of the matter is you cannot behave like that with a client or a manager for that matter. Good god, I couldn't believe how she came across, she was like a school girl in the playground. She has no idea.
So what if Nick is being judgemental? The Apprentice is not just based on how well you complete tasks and manage projects. They are also measuring the character of the person.
There is nothing wrong in sticking up for yourself but there are ways and means, who does she think she is? Behaving like the "big I am". Ridiculous.

If you read up on her background, it is entirely consistent with her previous character.

Some people on here don't seem to understand that closing a deal counts. Chatting someone up may help, but does not secure the business. I wasn't really sure why they simply didn't look along some of the shelves in those bookshops to get an idea of prices, much like they could have done with the eels.

I agree with this post.

I liked that Debra answered Nick back. He isn't always right and he does seem to favour the men over the women. But it is a game show after all. I don't buy into the Sir Alan Sugar wanting an apprentice at all. Sir Alan Sugar, Nick, Margaret and all the apprentice candidates are after publicity. It is a sort of toffee nosed Big Brother.

... I would not have minded a Ben's-eye-view on leaving the boardroom, ahem. Sorry. Oh, this isn't the mid-seventies? Apologies.

Debra was right to fight her corner but very wrong to speak to Nick like that AND to not apologise after SAS had pulled her up for it.

As a lot of others have said on here, she needs to learn some tact and diplomacy real fast if she's to go much further in this competition. For sure her card is now marked and I suspect SAS will be itching to fire her as soon as he's allowed to!

As someone else said, Nick is effectively a member of the interview panel. Whatever you may think of his behaviour, if you go off on one at a member of the panel, instead of arguing your case logically and politely, you will not get the job, end of story, because you come over as an up-your-own-backside eejit.

I deplore the current culture where the phrase "I'm just being honest" excuses everything, however rude - until, that is, someone is equally "honest" back. Then it suddenly become bullying.

When Alan Sugar told her he was sick of her mouth (or words to that effect) for a moment I thought he meant ....
