I'm actually surprised they had any trouble selling it at the price they were prepared to accept.
To anyone who has a basic knowledge of those sort of rugs it would have appeared to be a huge bargain. |

Is it any more suspicious than that a random bloke in a bar might want to buy a skeleton.

im not completely sure, i may have to watch it again, but did the man who bought the rug come towards them one way, then go back the other way? he must have been going somewhere, nobody just walks up to a street corner and then goes back do they?
i may be wrong, it's just what it looked like to me |

The clue's in the fact that the first guy was in a pub and the guy who bought the rug also seemed half-cut

They do if they've just come from home, then randomly bought a rug that they don't fancy carrying round with them for the rest of the night!
i still think it was set-up though. |

The man buying the rug and to a lesser extent the man buying the skeleton seemed abit contrived to me. However, I reckon the man with the rug had had abit too much to drink, so that might explain it.
ON the other hand, what with Margaret lurking in the background it's abit of a giveaway that they were filming The Apprentice so that might explain it. |

so you just buy rugs for £50 without even looking at them
it could have been moth eaten or contained a dead body for all the 'customer' knew These filmed things are a bit of a con - I know because I went to Dickinsons' thing in Belfast and they filmed us sticking our hands up randomly to edit in later - I agreed as it was just a bit of fun but after the thing was shown, I looked like I had bought a manky old walking stick, and loads of friends were asking me why I'd paid for such a grotty item!!

I think that sometimes things are staged, for the purpose of the cameras. It seems likely that they did approach the chap, who obviously agreed, and then had to perhaps re-film the interaction to be more show friendly, or because it was missed in part, something like that. So it is staged, but not set up, if you see what I mean.

Although the amount of footage they get in a day you wouldn't have thought they wouldn't have needed to do that very often. |
