That was brilliant. And true.

He has all this bravado about how he's going to destroy people in the boardroom, but in tonight's episode he was like a rabbit caught in the headlights. It was great to see him squirm in the position of being the project manager after his foul treatment of Paula in the boardroom.

Ha ha! They just showed a great clip of James on "You're Fired" talking about how Noorul gives him the "heebie jeebies" Go James!

At the time when Ben was choosing who to take into the boardroom Debra looked up at him and he instantly looked across at the other side of him and chose James.

It was as though he was terrified at the prospect of bringing Debra in with him.
Watch the clip again and it's as she looks up at him he seems to bottle it.

I thought that was terrific of James - and absolutely true. In fact, James is my favourite.

Yes I noticed that. I'm surprised it was not picked up on during 'Your Fired'. One of those devil horned moments from Debra.

I have to say I didn't fully understand the comment Sir Alan made about James, the "village that's lost its idiot." Was this praise or an insult?
James took it as an insult first, but on YF it was suggested he misunderstood the meaning.

But did they actually suggest what the real meaning could have been?

They said that later on James made a face that showed he now understood what Sir Alan meant.

That was really funny and is exactly what I think. Noorul is like a long lost member of the Addams family, to be honest

I'm not sure whether it was a close run thing between Noorul and Ben, but with anyone else Ben would surely have been a goner.

His vacillating in the boardroom over who he should bring back; his decision to bring James, much to the undisguised shock of everyone, not just James - and the way he snatched Debra's offer to come back like a drowning man grabbing the last lifebelt showed James's epithet of him as spineless to be spot on.

I must admit I was also amused at his pomposity when Sir Alan asked who he was bringing back.

Words to the effect "I have to consider performances over a number of weeks."

Sir Alan "That's my job not yours."

Must say it made me smile to hear James tell Ben he was spineless.....Ben looked done in by that point. I wonder if he'll last much longer, or if the fight has left his belly. Seemed so last night.

Although in this instance Ben was correct and Sugar hadn't thought it through.

Of course if Sugar is going to consider the candidate's performance over the whole series then it makes absolute sense for the PM to bring a perceived weak candidate back unless s/he knows for certain that he can pin the failure of the task on someone else.

Of course, they shouldn't actually say that.

James' reaction was classic! He certainly looked like a rabbit caught in the headlights.

Yes, I'm still confused by what SIralan meant - was it meant as a compliment to James then?

Watching Debra's reaction last night - I felt she was almost wanting/daring him to take her into the boardroom. She wanted a fight. She wanted to be taken into that boardroom and wipe the floor with both those men.

SirAlan meant that Ben thought James was a soft touch and that's why he was bringing him back and it had nothing to do with how James performed on the task.

I will join you in that cheer. I just love James, the huge-faced buffoon. I don't think he will either, but I hope.

Not only that.... but Ben seemed strangely silent after James's outburst. Maybe because he remembered that James had practically been called 'a village idiot' by Sir Alan....
