What happened to the shoes?

There were several passing mentions last night that each team had a potentially valuable pair of "retro" shoes to sell - but nothing about what they actually did with them - or did I miss that?

I don't recall any team member actually picking up on the possible value at all, and the only attempted sales I recall were Philip flogging riding boots for £4 or thereabouts, and Ben offering a job lot of all his side's shoes for a quid! So what did happen to the collectable ones and what were they actually worth?

I am not sure what happened to them, I think they I heard they were worth either £75 or £100.

They both virtually gave them away and I hope the person that acquired them found out their true value and made a tidy sum on ebay.

Lorraine was the only one who thought the shoes may be worth some money but no one would listen to her. Philip thinks he knows it all but knows nothing.

^^^Quite right. Lorraine said that she thought the shoes and the rug were the valuable items. Philip dismissed her, and then seemingly forgot that she had been mentioning the rug all day, and made out as though it had only occurred to her that it might be valuable, at the last minute.

I'm pretty sure that a value of £100 was mentioned in connection with the box of shoes.

I wonder if the bloke who bought the £200 rug for £50 first found out when watching the tele...or whether he already knew.

And whether he still had it.

They're probably sitting abandoned in a cardboard box along with some old tat at the gates of Greenwich indoor market. Someone should go look for them and make a tidy profit.

I thought it went like that .. in which case you have to ask why they didn't come up in the Board Room. As I recall Suralan, Margaret and Nick all seemed agreed that the key losing items in Ben's team were only the bike and the skeleton, both of which they could attribute to Noorul to some extent. Surely there was a stonking loss on the shoes too, which he had nothing to do with him

We saw Howard selling a pair of riding boots for a note's worth. That's the only footwear related transaction we actually saw through to completion.

I'm surprised no-one (particularly the girls) picked out the vintage shoes

your accessories should cost more than your clothes - everyone knows that

no one mentioned if they were sold or not be lorraine realised they had value, and the voiceover or whatever said they were worth 100 pounds, thereabouts.

I think Noorul mentioned that no-one would pay much for a pair of tatty old shoes, or something along those lines.
