Digital camera exposure question?
Lee Morris
30-04-2009
Hi! All
I wondered if there is someone who can help me?, as I have two camera's both different makes which I have the same problem with.

One camera is a Kodak and the other is a Digital Camcorder which records onto memory card, and both for some reason have poor light on the pictures taken.

I do not know whether I am maybe trying to zoom in too close or whether I am on the wrong setting for exposure as the pictures were taken indoors.

The flashes on both camera's were turned on and they also both take great pictures outside.

I look forward to suggesstions.

Thanks in advance.

Well, without seeing the photos, it could be that you are trying to photograph things that are too far away - a flash will only work up to about 10 feet or so, depending on the camera - and obviously a flash will only work with a still camera and you mention one of your cameras is a camcorder - so that will only give decent indoor pictures if there is good lighting.
On the still camera, if you can adjust the ISO number, then try turning this up to a higher number - it makes the camera more sensitive to light - but conversly gives you more grain.
