I wonder if Ben was unwell . . .

I absolutely loathe the little twit but he seemed absolutely drained in the boardroom and quite unlike his usual bumptious self.

He seemed completely at sea when asked who he wanted to bring back in and as if he just couldn't think straight at all.

Having said that I too couldn't really work out who was to blame for the failure of the task so I guess it was more to do with working out who AS was more likely to have it in for. I would have expected him to have thought that out before going back in.

One person, and one person alone, was to be blamed for the failure of that task. The team leader. Everything he did in that task was wrong.

Possibly because he had exposed himself as a complete and total bullshitter as far as his management, sales and strategic thinking abilites were concerned and he was quite rightly shi**ing himself. He was floundering around like a dying fish. Utter t*at. But very entertaining!

If he'd even had a sniffle, he'd have made a big thing of it

He did look like he had a stinking headache. Amputation should sort that out.

Rather like the episode twards the end of the last series where Sophocles suddenly realises that he can't sell!

Perhaps Ben gave himself a wake-up call.

Still one of the funniest Apprentice moments!

Re Ben, he really looked like he'd woken up from a very bad dream only to find it was all too real.

IMO Ben was responsible for the failure of that task.

I think he's so full of it because he's insecure. He has to keep bigging himself up by going on about his scholarship to Sandhurst, and saying that he is capable of winning and has no intention of going home. I think he wanted to show how good he was by taking most of the stock to sell. Unfortunately, he just seemed to show how incapable he is.

I think he should have taken some responsibility for the failure of the task, though I can see why he wouldn't, because he's not that secure. I think Sir Alan would still have fired Nural (sp?), because he'd already said that he was someone who "sat on the fence" and didn't do much. But Ben would have come out of it better; as it was, SA said that he thought he was a broken man and was worried about him.

He's going to be more devastated when he does go, especially if his time as PM counts against him.

He wasn't unwell. As James said when he got back tot he penthouse, he's just spineless. He was just shitting himself in the boardroom because he knew he should be the one getting fired.
