In fact part of me thinks Ben went in and made a home gym precisely because he was told not to. The PM cannot do both parts of a task so he delegated the bit out to the person who seemed most qualified and who had come up with the idea. as far as James was concerned he had delegated according to his team's strengths. Also Ben attacked him for not saying he thought the product was shit. James did actually say it to us the audience in a talking head, but being a good PM he didn't want to dampen his teams spirits so told them it was brilliant to keep the whole team motivated to sell it. He was actually a good PM but members of his team were set on showing him up. Also they could have won, as Debra had no control over her team, and they only won because Phillip had a lucky eleventh hour idea, had he not, they would have gone with Lorraines crappy ankle exerciser.

On that show I really wanted and expected Debras team to lose they were very very lucky to come up with that idea so late!”

I think that is a really good post. I agree, James just presents badly, beacause of the way he speaks and interacts. He is actually very good.

In the edit it looked like it was Majid rather than Ben who was adding all the fiddly bits. Ben went along with it, though, and obviously Majid got fired so James wasn't held ultimately responsible. I think he was lucky, though. In previous tasks we have seen leaders fired for similar things: ie delegating the most important part of the task to someone else. I won't say he was a bad PM, but I do think he took his eye off the ball. He was pretty much saved by Margaret saying he was a good leader, but I didn't really see it myself during that show. He had Kate and Howard, which I think helped.

Agreed.

I don't agree about Debra, who I thought showed the best leading we've had this series, but this isn't really the place to argue it. I will say she seemed to be better at the time management, where as James got to the printer late and had to make hurried choices of picture for the poster, which I recall was a weak point in the boardroom.

I think and have been saying for weeks that the guy is great and if I was in the chair he'd win!

He seems honest but I don't think he's scared to say what he thinks. At the end of last weeks show, when Benji came back he said something like, 'you're always saying how tough and hard you are but in there you were spineless and shat it!'. Go Jimbo!!

I think he could win. SA want a diamond in the rough that he can mold and in this way he's similar to Lee from last year. He has some good ideas, works hard and does what he's told.

Ben in my opinion is unemployable and the girl Philip(pa) isn't much better.

I'm thinking James and either Yasmina or...erm...mental block but 'The Pretty One' () will be in the final.

He's getting packaged like Lee McQueen last year really; nice, decent sounding sort of bloke, slightly punching above his weight but endearing.

Producers have opted for the time honoured formula of keeping the resident 'nice guy' and the 'pantomime vilain' in until close to the end, before one of the blander ones win - probably Kate.
