Garmin sat nav

Just wondering if anyone has used this model before https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?cID=134&pID=6324

Tesco seem to be cheap on that model http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.203-9933.aspx

So was just wondering if anyone has experience of this model before i go and buy.

Just after a basic accurate sat nav, don't need bluetooth etc.

That's a base model which is ok but I strongly recommend getting a higher model that speaks the street names.

Thanks for the advice, base model will be fine for me. But as you have mentioned the function that speaks the street names seems to get the thumbs up from people that have that function.

Never thought about it, but did notice it getting praise when looking at reviews etc on internet.

Seems the next model that does that is this https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?...37529#specsTab would cost me a extra £70 at tesco for that function

But found that scan do it for extra £40 http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Garmi...U-inc-UK-Maps) would seriously consider that

Must admit the Garmin way of labeling there models is a bit

So many dam models to choose from, didnt realise there would be. Then you also have the choice of TomTom or Navman etc.

Best way to compare features of the different Garmin models is to go to their site.

Garmin has been at it longer than any other competitor and typically rates highest in user reviews and professional reviews. They also make very sophisticated professional units for aircraft and marine.

Just purchased a Navigon 7210 and it's brilliant, pricey at £220 but that might come down soon as the new models are released.
