Red Sky Crisps - tried them yet?
Anyone tried the new Red Sky crisps yet?
I am sitting munching some of their Sour Cream and Green Herb flavour at the moment, and they aren't bad at all. I like the idea that they are made from entirely natural ingredients with no chemical stabilisers or flavourings, and the flavour itself is quite good (you can taste the individual ingredients that are making up the flavour) - the only criticism that I have is that the flavouring is a little sparse. Overall, not as good as Kettle Chips in my opinion, but a pretty close second, with a good choice of flavourings. |

I don't think they are that good. They don't have the same crunch/thickness as kettle chips. Plus they are made by Walkers, and I think the Angelsey Sea Salt tastes exactly the same as regular Walkers Ready salted!

I love the chive Kettle crisps but can I find a big bag of them anywhere?! Nope. Only the other flavours. Very annoying.

A quick search online will reveal some perfect recipes for making home-made crisps. Cheaper, quicker, easier, healthier and above all, tastier than any shop bought crisps! |

Yep, they're just Walkers in a posh bag with a higher price tag attached.

They always tasted bland though, unless you added plenty of salt. But that would be bad for you, wouldn't it? ![]() I wonder, does the troll actually like food? <whistles> |

If I were a fly on the wall in your house and able to see your food cupboard, is it a fact that I would find absolutely nothing that has not been created by your good self? Because if so, I applaud you. Its quite a feat. Not one I would like to do. Quote:

We used to have to make crisps at college - they're used as a traditional garnish on some steak dishes.

I'm convinced this poster is really Nigel Slater....
just imagine him stepping into his back yard allotment, picking the spuds, selecting herbs, hacking off the maldon salt from a block in his cellar with his bare hands, grinding the seasonings......... and hey presto - 20 crisps made with his own fair hands, untouched by anyone other than god and his goodself........... |

I often make my own crisps. So do a few of my friends who are vegetarians. We like to control our ingredients and also control the quality. Beetroot and carrot crisps are a speciality.
