Sorry to ask what is probably a simple question but here goes.

Can someone explain to me how I cut the following recipe ingredients down into 2 servings:

http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/5...n-4-easy-steps

I live alone so I will be cooking for myself. I can put one portion in the fridge for the next day.

Do I use 50g of flour instead of 100g? Will the recipe still work with just 50g?

Same for milk.. 150g milk?

4 Sausages.. thats quite simple. 1 Onion etc.

But it's the flour and milk that I'm worried about. I suppose if I cut it down by half, I'll have half the mixture but it will still work as intended. Is that the case?

Again.. apologies for this simple question but it's always been something I've never quite understood.

Not exactly the answer, but cook it all and freeze the leftovers! Saves any worries

Halving the ingredients should work ok. But remember to cook it in a smaller tin.

If you don't already have it you might like to take a look at Delia's "One Is Fun" cook book. Order it from your library first to see if it's worth purchasing.

halving should be fine, presume you don't have a freezer, I can't even cook for 2 people, usually end up with enough for 6!
