Wow - loving these at the moment. Just had the Spicey Parsnip soup. The Royal Game and the Cullen Skink are both Lovely.
Anyone else a fan? What's your favourite? |

I'm a bit of a Heinz soup fan but to be honest would buy either. And I'm pretty traditional when it comes to soups - Broth, Cream of Tomato, Lentil etc lol

French onion is excellent, way better than any Heinz soup.

I like the old varieties that they have done for years - like the Royal Game one.
Have tried a few of the new varieties and not very impressed - old Mrs Baxter must have lost some taste buds over the years. |

They do a haggis soup. I laughed my socks off when I saw it in the shops, but I still bought some. And whaddya know; it was pretty nice for a canned soup.

If you find your self up in Scotalnd then you could always do the factory tour at their Fochabers factory (and shop - of course!)

Good God, man.
You can't post something like that without telling us how to pronounce Fochabers!!! ![]() And I'd do a tour of a soup factory in a heartbeat. Note to self - go to FOCHABERS. |

My friend at RAF Lossiemouth (just down the road from Fochabers) suggests it is pronounced Fok-a-bers, and he's a Scot so he should know.

That name is still making me smile. I really am remarkably juvenile.

The only tinned soup i take a notion for now and again is cream of chicken.
But for me nothing can beat home made soup. I love making it....my family love it as well. |

I like to have a couple of tins of soup in my storecupboard in case I feel like a quick hit and don't have 30 minutes to spare making some - and it's always better the next day anyway. I prefer homemade, but I'm not a snob about people who chose to eat tinned, it's their choice. I'm sure most folk would prefer homemade, but it's not always practical.
Baxters is my favourite tinned soup - their Vegetarian Butternut Squash & Red Pepper was a good introduction to squash, which I had never tried before. I make my own Butternut Squash and Sweet Potato now. Their Healthy Choice range is really tasty too and a very filling lunch. I also love Baxters Baby Beets, despite growing my own beetroot last year, when they run out, it's back to Baxters. Their relishes and sauces are also very good. I think it's fair to say I'm a Baxters fan!
