Hi Folks

I have a mountain of stuff recorded on my HDR but have yet to discover of to convert the .TS files, any (easy) suggestions? I have full versions of Nero and Ulead Videostudio, but no luck yet.

I have been very happy with the Super converter, it seems to do everything and it's free - I haven't tried it yet on .ts files. It's website says it does it.

I use Handbrake on my Mac, and it's spot on.

There are versions for Linux and windows too, but as I've never used it on these platforms I can't really comment, but if it's half as good as it is on the mac, it's worth looking at.

VLC players file export wizard will also convert to a programme stream .mpg file for free as well as play the .ts file directly

I use HDTV to Mpeg2 to convert TS files to Mpeg files. Download it here:

I also use tsMuxerGUI to convert TS files to M2TS files for playback on my PS3 (although one has to rename the extension from m2ts to m2t). Download it here:
