My father in law has given us some fresh rhubarb from his garden.

He always boils it before eating but there are conflicting opinions on the web regarding cooking it.

So how do we best enjoy rhubarb?

Just simmer on a low heat, maybe with a bit of water to prevent burning, and sugar.

I just chop into 3 inch lengths and then bake for about with some caster sugar - cover with baking foil and bake for about 20 minutes

I do it as above too, but i do it in the microwave..Just cut it small in a dish, add castor sugar and put on for about 10mins (M.wave) ,stir it, and then add for a little more if not stewed properly.. I love rhubarb crumble
