Asparagus
Half price in Sainsburys
English grown and big. Yum !!Had some tonight. Boiled for 2 mins, drained then fried in butter with black pepper. Heaven! |

Asda and Morrisons also have deals on it (New Season bunches). £1 per bunch. You get more in the Asda bunch. Also Tesco have 2 bunches for £3 I think. Was out earlier and caught the prices.

I adore asparagus.
Asparagus, wrapped in parma ham and cream cheese - delish. Or asparagus boiled, with melted butter, a little lemon juice and some paramasan shavings. Mmmm |

If you can get it, and it's like gold dust in this country, is white asparagus also knows as spargel.
Amazingly delicious! Just serve with poached salmon, crushed new spuds and fresh holondaise sauce. |
