At least the Spice Girls had self-respect. You didn't see Geri do a sex tape or Emma have a reality TV show. Yes they were everywhere, but they were likeable and had songs about love, hope, even death (Viva Forever), not have rent-a-rapper BOB or Florida sell it.

Schools should focus on the emotional part and the negatives such as STIs. It doesn't matter who is what, you are who you are.

Sadly, schools focus on everything pointless. It's not just relationships that they need to focus on, but budgeting and many other useful things people need in life.
This is also what i agree on they need to learn teenagers about the differences between Wanting and Needing.

Alot would apologise, but it would be a PR apology and a token gift to charity to show how thoughtful they are to those less off than them.

We are in a global economy crisis and they still want to milk us dry and young people are more vulnerable and impressionable and hand over their money.
all very true!

Count me in.

We're unhappy, and want things to be the way they were - sadly Youtube and their like is our vice to listen to music.

Thankfully being in a seaside town, and when having a bit of cash (once a month to once every two months) there is a few decent acts who perform in the clubs. Some cover singers, others real talent - give me that over the same old crap anyday
same here and I am up in Scotland don't worry I will not sing donald wheres your troosers lol

Apart from Mel B who is a chav with money and will do anything to get cash (including trying to get as much out of Eddie Murphy as possible). Awful human being. Mel C is a nice person though.

I don't think most adults know that

I had this discussion with my Mum a few weeks ago!!

All the pointless crap I learnt in school. Maths; who the hell needs geometry/trigonometry? I have not used this since learning the crap at school. I found PE pointless. I can't run very far due to a problem with my legs and have stage 4 asthma, which means I get out of breath even running down the three flights of stairs in my flat!

Budgeting is important. Especially now with all these financial crises. I remember being the only one in my class who knew what the minimum wages were for a 16, 18 and 21 yr old! A lot of people thought they would earn megabucks!

You learn more out of school than in school. School is not a preperation for real life. It's what the government WANTS you to learn, not what you want.

I honestly didn't learn much in school. Most of what I have learnt, i've learnt from life.

I only know one song in 90's that spoke about sex but it wasn't as bad as if you put it up against Rihanna S & M and that was Salt N Pepa - Lets talk about sex and they also had giddy up (loved that!) but I don't think it was bad as it is now (or is that my age showing? )

EDIT: Madonna - erotica

100% with you on this , back when I had Physical Education in school they did show pictures of what STI's look like but they never really talked about what effect it could have on you and if you decide to have kids in the future , and with more serious things such as HIV it can have a significant effect on your life with regular visits to the Sexual health clinic and daily medication to take for the rest of your life , i know one person who has this awful disease at no fault of their own because his ex girlfriend had the infection without her even knowing cause they both wanted to have children but she lost it , which is a blessing really cause the child would have had to live with that at no fault of his/her own.

The Sex Clinic on Channel 4 is something that needs to be shown in Physical Education lessons to make others feel more aware about the dangers and risks of unprotected sex.

Madonna tried to be controversial and it worked - it got her to where she is today, but in comparison to todays artists, she's weak. Instead she buys children to remain in the headlines.

It could make you world famous though!

I don't quite have the money to help you out with that. Maybe you could ask Beyonce?

I remember at 7 years of age, being shown a baby being born (i was so ill after lol) and then nothing.....ever again

What makes me laugh is MTV occasionally advertise iCondom or whatever it is, but it's just a gimmick for them...

Why has nobody mentioned the evil destroyer of music a.k.a. Pitbull yet?

His dirge pollutes the music channels and he's even ruined Jennifer Lopez.

How can we forget Pitbull

The man who said it was 10% talent and 90% marketing.

In his case he meant 0%-100%

He is like a virus. The likes of him, Florida and BOB are a part of what is wrong with the industry. Talentless hacks whose sole role is to cheapen the industry even more than it is by making acts sell out.

Music is an even bigger money making scam than ever.
