Strange charts on Clubland at the moment.

Complete Classic A-E (and later the other letters)

Top 25, but in alphabetical order, so Boogie Pimps is higher than Avicii but lower than Cascada who will be lower than Darude based on alphabetical order.

So why a 'top 25'?

Just play the songs with no chart numbers?

Looks like Clubland have either stopped or limited voting - none in the in-between shows.

The request chart was played twice and no plans to re-show - they can now manufacture everything to their liking 24/7.

They know they are struggling but they ignore all of their viewers, occasionally doing something to make the viewers think they listen to them, but it's merely a stalling tactic.

I've never watched less Clubland than I do now and viewing figures suggest many feel the same.

The chart numbers may be appearing in error, i've seen that happen on VH1 and then "0" is displayed when it passes Number 1.

I don't think they are as it's a '25' chart again.

F-M is the same.

Do they all do charts as it is easier to know what fee to pay to record companies for playing the video as they will know the songs in advance where just picking random songs would create more paperwork?

That would not surprise me - look at the MTV charts when they do a Versus battle - every SECOND video is the artist they are going for - ie David Guetta V World (blantantly obvious) plus charts are more automated these days than "manual" controlled ie if they are errors you would probably hope they pull the video and replace with correct one but these days errors are kept no matter the chart

The Vault are advertising Sabrina The Teenage Witch on Sky Channel 367 - which happens to be Scuzz

They mention The Vault but have Channel 367 on the graphics

Do people not check before this goes out and the ad has been around for a couple of weeks now.

Short answer will probably be no - unless Sabrina is moving to there?

Clubland TV requests are for smartphones only now via their app.

So, they've limited the amount of people who can 'request' as not everyone will have a smartphone.

The selections are the same old same old though.

Removed to free two slots for CSC's True Drama and Tiny Pop +1 to go on the guide. Not sure why they've chosen a timeshift over a regular, albeit music, channel, but there you go. All remain available FTA on Sky and thus in non-FS/faff-about mode on Freesat boxes, of course...

Come on! The vast, vast majority of their audience will have a smartphone. Smartphone penetration is very high in the UK, and especially so amongst younger people.

A bit strange. Maybe they weren't getting viewers, but +1's over a whole channel is odd.

Not every person has a smartphone though and some of the lesser off people now cannot select. A small change for you and I, but to those who don't have smartphones, another kick in the teeth for being poorer. A lot of the kids I work with do not have smartphones.

It's also not just 'young' people that view - I'm late 30's certainly not 'young' which is the problem with these channels - they tend to cater for a certain generation only, which will be their death and 'young' people tend to watch music in other ways than through their TV - it's the older people who tend to use TV more.

Clubland's switch to newer music 90% of the time is also a kick to us late 20/30somethings+ who grew up with classic dance.

I'd say their Facebook page and various other outlets, including viewing figures suggest they are struggling and losing viewers daily.

Would be interesting.

Although she was in Britney's 'Crazy' video, i'd imagine that's never been played on Scuzz. That said, the other year when they done the April Fools, Britney was played for an hour against a metal artist - can't remember the songs though.

mind you in saying that I seen Crazy on Heat I think it was Thursday/Friday last week ... so they do use the archives! Pity archives can't be used ALOT MORE than what we have to put up with!

I know your speaking of Clubland but take the likes of MTV thats another lot giving us the kick a la VH1 with the bombardment of MTV ads. I think in beginning it was OK but its now heading way past overboard with it all - all these channels are at it that they are aiming for the one demographic whilst the 25+ group(I too am one) are being told to f..k off but give them a clap for doing it anyway it'll be the death of "entertainment" TV next as pretty sure most people are getting fed up with all channels coming out with braindead ideas - whilst the likes of Youtube/Social Media is growing this lot is falling but bringing non music entertainment is not going to last it'll bring in viewers people will wake up and realise then get bored what will they do? Possibly in terms of "reality" tv are we edging closer to riskier programming? ie take a look at films such as "rollerball" (ok its not an actual gameshow and its only a film but it makes you question how far TV Networks are pushing the barriers - again its all about ratings and possibly greed and nothing more - they don't care who gets hurt in life but the people who creates these attitudes in society will get the backfire) I wish more people realised this but of course no one cares or is that bothered about it (but they would be if its go extreme)

Also I think MTV channels should be more available free to air - channels carry teleshopping?? Yet look at Bauer channels, they have guts to at least STOP and broadcast 24/7 (exception 4Music) MTV still carries it - where does that income go I wonder?? Possibly blown on crap shows for MTV only whilst quality on their other channels suffer (nothing new there)

MTV Rocks on a worrying 55k viewers this week, they have clearly failed to capitalise on the demises of NME TV and Q.

I have a feeling that most music channels will fizzle out before the next decade comes in.

Can see only upto 8 maybe 10 music channels staying on air though but which ones you reckon will survive ?

Maybe go back to the 90's era - MTV/The Box/VH1 (I know wishful thinking) but I rather have 3 than what we got as its just the same all the time unless they come out with bigger and better ideas for them to exist but I can't!
