ATC are sometimes played on The Vault

Alcazar has been on a few times lately on Clubland.

Britney's odd mix now on Clubland. I still say it has nothing to do with Britney bar the video and 3 little bits. It's not the tune remixed, just another tune using Britney for exposure basically.
I've seen it loads of times on The Vault but it's better quality on Clubland. The Vault is just lazy these days.

Have to say that the Britney mix is quite good and I've never really been a fan of Above & Beyond's music.

Don't think Jake Quickenden is presenting for Chart Show anymore because he's desperately trying to find a flop career now by auditioning for the X Factor. Hopefully Faleo will go soon too.

Is that not a bit of a double standard? Look at the ads for MTV ie Geordie Shore - punch ups galore and getting drunk (you get a rough idea in the daytime ad) yet nothing happens?

Music/OFCOM: bit weird that is it not? Some vids go to near extreme on daytime output ie Benny Banassi - Satisfaction/Rihanna - S&M yet its all fine but say its a video from the 90's it will still have the same censorship then but when we move with the times nothing changes (what gives??)

Alcazar - Crying at the Discotheque (love that song) - is that the only one they play? They had another 2 or is that again can't be bothered highlighting the other songs?
I think that if parents don't want their children to see unsuitable things on TV then it should be up to them to stop them from watching it why ruin things for everyone else?. Just get of Ofcom as they've ruined TV with their extreme censorship.

Never seen any other Alcazar video on music channels.

AAH so ATC still getting played on those channels but rarely elsewhere should I be that surprised? Not really but just shows you how "safe" MTV/Bauer playlists really are

Alcazar I have never seen them on any channels these days (apart from what you listed) but strikes me really odd - if these channels are now playing so called 90's-00's and todays music can they be more open and transparent in what they play?? Bad enough VH1 keeps repeating the same stuff day in day out - similar to the other stations not much surprised
Sometimes Alcazar will get on a Heat cheesy countdown. MTV Dance are doing biggest sellers of the 00's top 50 tonight, so may be on there?

Had the two Cascada songs on already.

Vault has gone too reunion and repeats of shows.

It's not the mix, more that they've used Britney as opposed to have mixed her song.

Faleo could try for X Factor too.

Alcazar now on Clubland - timing!

Oh I fully agree with you there on that the parents should take responsibility on what is unsuitable to watch but most out there these days couldn't care but they'll moan like hell about it later (rolls eyes and not at you)

Alcazar - surprise surprise, just shows you how much money talks these days!

I actually mean as in general play on the likes of MTV Dance not just a "countdown" but possibly like most songs thats where they end up

Clubland TV , MTV Dance , Chart Show Dance are all huge disappointments however still think the Internet radio stations are far superior to the music tv channels for example : TheBeatRadio.net is what dance music tv should be !

Bliss had 2 hours of 80's music this morning.

Didn't watch but caught glimpses of Heart and Irene Cara.

Maybe Sony have told Faleo that she needs to change the channel or they will close it. Hopefully they will start showing more 80s and 90s again.

Scuzz has a strange logo today, they're doing a 'School of Rock' month by the looks of it as people are going back to school.

I doubt the decision to close a channel would be based on any presenters.

CSC have been doing some decent festival stuff for V plus trying to market Bliss as an indie channel.

That said the rumour was Starz, The Vault and CSC Dance would shut anyway would it not? Not how none of them were ex Sky channels as you can't count CSC Dance really since CSC spoiled that channel.

I doubt Sony will shut any channels until 2015 earliest and when they are ready to launch new channels. They are quite swift though an got a movie channel up quickly and entertainment. I doubt many would complain if Sony Movies went on Freeview to rival Film4.

Stefanie Faleo is also the channel manager.

It's just a rumour started by another forum member, don't start popping open the champagne yet Linkin.

Sony Movies is exactly the same as MovieMix/More>Movies. It's nothing exciting.

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but in NOW's new branding, one of the break bumpers has the voiceover "More hits per hour than Chart Show"

I wonder if they'll be cutting the videos short next?

Think it's only Bauer and MTV who cut videos short.

Bliss seems to have gone back to being a Chart Show clone today

Clubland has a show called Remix Fix this afternoon. Hope it isn't the same remixes as CS Dance.

They already do, as do Clubland.

I have it on DVD Recorder - had aquick flick through and it appeared to be all crap like Ellie Goulding x 2 Rita Ora x 2 Fuse ODG x 2 Calvin, Example and other pop acts.

Not seen enough of CS Dance of late to know if it's similar, but I know CS Dance had all current/recent songs like Sam Smith!

I know they cut vids short on the Top 40 but do they still do it in automation or is it free run? I thought initially in automation there was no cut(?)

jeez the channel is also another clone of MTV Dance - yep dance music in general on these channels have gone down the pan .... its repetitiveness I don't get what you'll see on one will be on another why not just start closing some down and merge them? (I know its been mentioned before) but they need to do something as its hardly changed

I doubt they have much staff operating these channels these days anyway. When you think of the hard work EMAP and MTV use to put into there playlists. Nowadays it must be mostly computers and chart music being filtered in.

They probably have someone on standby in case of system failure I think on all channels its mostly done by computers but the "ideas" of programming must have at least an operator on the computer but the only gaffe I seen on MTV was the crash of the MTV Hottest rundown (on screen) on MTV Dance

Clubland were doing well, playing requests and not just one per day and then it went wrong - no adverts for an hour suggests something went tits up and since then...nothing

They actually played a few good megamixes earlier such as Jan Wayne and then a Cascada 2006 - Now show.

Yep, saw them all.

They've got the right idea, but technologically they are poor. Everything keeps going wrong.

If they could fix all the gremlins, they've a good selection right now.

VH1 has gone really boring again now. It's just a loop of Power Ballads, Pink/Beyonce/Adele themed countdowns, Taylor Swift's Heartbreaking Hits, Paloma Faith's Showgirls, and Dreams of the 90s, all repeated every week. Basically, it's gone back to how it was before the new look in June.

It will probably continue like that until mid-November then a loop of Christmas themed countdowns will start.

I noticed that , this is what bugs me with VH1, that lot at MTV UK have brilliant ideas for programming mostly on its main channel whilst the other channels suffer with drivel! Bring back some actual viewer interaction ie chat on a phone/request!

VH1 should bring back Artist of the Month/10 of the best and even why not repeat some of their old archive? Oh wait my mistake it ain't going to happen as its a new generation running the MTV empire in UK! Whilst I wouldn't want VH1 to turn into another reality channel similar to its sister but put in some programming catered to its demographic (whatever that really is) and actually ADVERTISE its own ads/trailers/bumpers as the MTV stuff is off putting and seems to come more across as if your a certain age bug off As far as I remember MTV would be "respectful" of VH1 ads and VH1 would do the same for MTV but these days its MTV plastered all over .... who the f..k cares whats happening in Newcastle/Wales or anywhere else for that matter? (yes I understand these shows pull in viewers BUT there is MORE to just plugging MTV stuff and its something this lot is failing to understand, like I have mentioned myself I have a feeling they may in time start closing channels down if it aint getting the viewers (might as well) as all the main focus is obvious its friggin Mf...TV!! - just go back to analogue days MTV/THE BOX/VH1 cut the losses!
