Even MTV's own website give you the official best selling singles they range from Spice Girls to Queen to Oasis. Even No Doubt is in the list.

No sign of boy bands music channels give us.

On another vote Magic TV now has the new logo and indents. Seems to be lots of countdown charts on the tv channel too. Not sure if it's been mentioned yet.

That's a common mistake people make , it's called an Ident not an Indent lol.

Bliss seems to have turned into an indie channel these days it's mostly alternative bands none are heavy rock though.

The current direction for Bliss is a good thing but I hope they don't turn into a full on Indie channel or even start playing painful 90s Brit Pop. It should be 80s, 90s, 00s hits as well as some of the stuff it used to show.

Scuzz is the only place to go for rock music still.

Magic's new look is quite nice but the countdowns are a load of crap.

Could be doing broadening the library a bit though it's mostly mellow indie music which follow the old Bliss format still not a proper indie channel. Brit Pop is good like Blur, oasis and Pulp but not many channels just relay on playing that in the past usually it's been a variety.

Studio B gets played occasionally, if it's the version i'm thinking of.

I doubt ofcom really care whether they call something fresh or not.

Magic appears to have it's new look.
I see Girls is the one I am thinking of ... I can't remember the follow up (but I aint seen neither!)

Yet OFCOM can have a go at the slightest thing wrong on say BBC but won't action against something? Is it not false advertising?

I wonder what all music channels on Sky's obsession with boy bands is? Some of them play bands like Backstreet Boys as if it was still in the charts today. Surely the 90's offered more than just pop music?
As far as I remember there was dance rnb rap rock in the 90's but possibly they keep it that PC these days that songs we would want to see ain't ever going to see light of day due to it being "horrific" to these people in charge, I think music between 70's-90's were actually the best but playlists these days are limited (for some strange reason)

Well I think bands like abba will always be popular for generations.

I do agree the people in charge don't like variety.

Wonder if Clubland will place this when they release a video.
https://soundcloud.com/mdbg2/cascada...cj-ltone-remix

Anyway Clubland seems to have gone back to how it was. Last week was themed days with a variety of classics and new videos but this week has just been Garrix crap and the Judge Jules Charts are back.

I'd imagine in their minds that they think those who watch in the days are housewives who grew up with the boybands.

Doubt it - just the normal mix would be a start as they haven't had the videos for 2 of the most recent 4 Cascada releases.

Clubland is best on Wednesdays and Thursdays I find - Wednesday is Classix, Thursday is Eurodance - not looked for tomorrow onwards yet though.

I do know my choices rarely get played - whether they put up the 'be patient' graphic or not. Didn't happen today yet Milkshake by the Geordie Shore girl sure made it's way on more than once along with many more.

Clubland have Marvin Humes in the mix tomorrow night.

Why am I worried that this is the guy from JLS and not a 'DJ'?

I'll give him a go, although not a fan of these mixers Clubland have but I will have a butchers with trepidation.

Even though I don't really pick up station since well I live in Scotland but I think he has done some DJ work on Capital Radio I believe whether thats in the mix thats a different matter!

I see Richard Blackwood in the Burger King ads I always liked him on MTV Select, come to think about it MTV UK has not got any "visual" presenters these days do they unless its an Essential or they meet someone ain't it? MTV the home of being "faceless"

You won't have to worry about MTV, Bauer etc when Scotland go independent.

It will all be STV Classic and SVH1 and Scottish Heat

MTV have the visually lovely Lilah Parsons who presents countdowns and also they have Laura Whitmore.

What was the follow up?

Clubland are massive label flaunters.

Certain labels get played more than others, but it will also be down to management and agents.

Expect Holly Hagan or whatever he name is on the next 3 Clubland albums along with Bakermat, Rita Ora and....Idina Menzel's mix

If i launched 3 music channels on Sky i would do it like this:

The Beat
Nothing But Dance Music 24/7 covering just the best dance genres from Trance to House , Ambient and Underground Dance Music Culture.

Could offer dance fans something different and better to Flaunt , MTV Dance , which would offer less commercial (and More Underground).

Jukebox TV
All the best tunes from the 80's , 90's and Now choosen by you entirely.

Something like VH1 Europe but more interactive that viewers can vote via the red button , text .

Trax TV

Nothing but the freshest tunes before they hit the charts.

Like the old B4 format which was entirely focused on fresh music before any other channel .
that's where clubland tv comes in for non-stop dance

Follow up I believe was called "come and get it on" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7cs5qRRZxMs

so labels is basically "favouritism" ? .... i'll get my coat

Wouldn't surprise me if I am honest - she possibly will be a ONE HIT WONDER but I doubt the likes of MTV will cover that part since well she is part of that show

I caught a bit of that Rita Ora song with Iggy Azzelea (well video) its like 2 Lady Gaga's WTF! OK Lady Gaga at times may not be that great but come on ... 2 blonde girls are they taking the p..s???

Mainly dance, but a lot of rnb/pop crossovers. Certainly not as dance as they used to be.

You'll still have Midge Ure, Leon Jackson and Sandi Thom.

No, never seen that video

I think the whole music business is favourtism and back handers. I remember Paloma Faith once saying her record label only kept her because JLS on the same label were making them so much money, as she wasn't doing very well.

Well, I don't even know if her song is a hit. The original is bad, her version is atrocious.

All these acts these days jus colab to sell records/tours etc. I don't take too many artists seriously now. Iggy Azalea is just the female Professor Green to me.

Clubalnd classic today - patience yr choice will come up - i'm sure it will, they have all day to play it so the chances it will get played at some point are quite high, but nothing to do with the fact that i've requested it, just that it will randomly appear.

I think Now Music is the best all round chart channel at the moment. It use to be Capital but the radio format for me has got tired.

It took an hour for Clubland to start repeating songs this morning.

No sign of my request either.

Great work Clubland. keep the viewers* happy whilst pushing the dwindling audience away.

Now Music has the best presentation of all music channels but the content is poor and it's basically the same as Planet Pop.

Planet Pop should become a classic pop channel from 1980-2009 with requests and no charts other than a 'Top 10 Requests'.
