Haven't played my request either”

What did you request?

I asked for a Cascada tune then tried again an hour later for another Cascada tune.

6 Cascada tunes on the list, they've played 4, but not my 2 - ever thought they are reading this laughing at us

Well they're playing Chris Brown right now, seems like they'd rather play a woman basher than actual dance today. How is he a classic anyway?

Some of the tunes on the list are bizarre.

Chris Brown should be banned from exposure full stop

No, never seen that video

I think the whole music business is favourtism and back handers. I remember Paloma Faith once saying her record label only kept her because JLS on the same label were making them so much money, as she wasn't doing very well.

Well, I don't even know if her song is a hit. The original is bad, her version is atrocious.

All these acts these days jus colab to sell records/tours etc. I don't take too many artists seriously now. Iggy Azalea is just the female Professor Green to me.

Clubalnd classic today - patience yr choice will come up - i'm sure it will, they have all day to play it so the chances it will get played at some point are quite high, but nothing to do with the fact that i've requested it, just that it will randomly appear.”

Midge Ure, Texas, Leon Jackson (who again?), Sandi Thom (who again?), Wet Wet Wet (possibly more but the IQ at STV towers musically is a size of a peanut so we won't go there!)

I can't remember if the follow up charted well or it bombed the charts but I rarely see Studio B being played (if you lot seeing it I must be missing it)

I knew I was right but do you think this was happening back in the 90's as well or are we seeing it now? I can't stand Iggy if I am honest but some music policies on radio (commerical) stations are just bizarre too!

The Alex Salmond dance....

28 Studio B C'mon Get It On Apr 2006 - so, number 28

It probably happened in the 90's and even further back wkith the likes of Madonna in the 80's - it's just embarrisingly obvious now and we are all a bit older and wiser.

say what now?? lol ......

#28 I knew it wasn't as big as the first one and year 2006?! That was I would say about the time music was still good in my eyes but start off a turning point

See for me if it happened in the 90's/80's it was not forced fed (I can be wrong) but then 90's we had "control" of the music channels and viewer interaction 80's not too sure but then we had the ITV Chart Show/CD:UK, I may admit back in the 90's I was a teenybopper (what I heard lol) but I still liked my dance music and everything in between but music these days its seems more one dimensional and that wherever you look you ain't avoiding it for long lucky enough Vintage TV is the only place you can possibly breathe but if its like old skool dance you got no chance in hell unless you have to look on youtube or streaming services

I find channels these days very strange in who they play as your example above and lets not forget Bieber - how are they getting played surely they should be temporarily suspended from playlists? I am pretty sure in the past if you done wrong you were removed until further notice, found an example not sure if it applies or did anyone spot it back then? http://dionroy.wordpress.com/2007/09...s-performance/ (this was in relation to Britney performing in 2007)

Here you go hmeister - Walk On Water on after Alcazar

I'm still waiting for my two - left it on record for a few hours as I went out - looked back through - some Cascada plus the September v Cascada programme but in the classix selections, neither of mine have been played all day. Be patient they say....just 13 hours of waiting then.

About to also play Voodoo and Serrano - Overload for the second time in less than half an hour - not bad going I do like the song, but they are taking the pee.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dDj7DuHVV9E - just change one word slightly

I'd not heard Studo B's second song to be honest

It's always been there, being forced to listen to Madonna everywhere in the 80's but they did play everything else and a much wider range than today.

Is it that horrible 2011 remix of Overload? They used to play the original all the time and I love that song.

Good grief I aint seen that video in ages! Does that get played? Just looked on youtube in relation to Chemical Bros, I have seen Setting Sun (couple times not recent though) both the "strobe lighting" and the "slow strobe" video (same video lol) Star Guitar, Hey Boy Hey Girl, Galvanize (Galvanize is the one I seem to see on mostly) Star Guitar maybe once every so often as Setting Sun but Hey Boy Hey Girl rarely see that ... is that due to a "sex scene" in the video (they use to slow it down but you got the audio of it)

Studio B: wow lol - I still like it but I think its another one of these songs that MTV/Bauer bury in the ground

I will also agree that back then there was a wider range - I still believe that everything was catered for - you got your rock, pop, dance and even where I live a bit of Scottish Country Dancing music (I kid you not!)

MTV Dance sometimes play The Salmon Dance. Chemical Bros barely get played anywhere.

MTV/Bauer are strange. You get the odd rarity on MTV CLassic and Heat, but not too many.

Scottish Country Dancing Music?

Sounds like at night they don't control the playlist as much. Sadly i'm not up at gone 1am

So MTV has their archive but fail to use it but play I will call the "keep safe" songs ... really??

MTV are completely strange Bauer in my mind at least venture out on classics (yet again stuck on same tracks), but you think for the channels we have they be better operated than keeping it to a minimum!

Scottish Country Dancing music yep - it use to be played on my local station Tay FM back in the 80's part of the 90's! Pity acts like Big Country, Runrig get less play on these channels as well (only track I have seen was Big Country - In a Big Country played on Vintage TV but I doubt Bauer/MTV will touch that with a barge pole!)

Occasionally they'll play an older song that's not in a chart.

Can you imagine that stuck inbetween Rihanna and Rita Ora. Maybe they'll both take up Scottish Dancing?

Well, they won't let me have any more requests on Clubland. They let me have three, which is three more than normal

They played my request within 20 minutes Whigfield - Saturday Night

It would be quite cool to see some Scottish music on TV, maybe 'Top 10 Ceilidh Songs' on Vintage TV or Bliss.

Ha - that was your fault then Have you requested more? They've stopped at 3 for me. Summer of Love and Blink are not being played - been two hours and an hour now.

Think they would be the most likely channels, although unusre of Bliss now. Maybe MTV Classic

Last night's Top 50 on VH1 was "Songs That Are Better Than Cake!". Strange theme but at least it was something different.

The constantly repeated Power Ballads and Heartbreaking Hits charts are back today.

I just find it odd that when some of these channels play old songs they just stick to 2000 anything before doesn't exist .... MTV Hits should broaden its music really since well VH1 is as mentioned is more about 90's/00's/today these days .... Vintage TV is the only station that has the ability of "nostalgia" that MTV should be doing but I don't have MTV Classic so my choice in "variety" these days is less to be desired
