Heck your gonna laugh though... when I look online for songs it ends up being from say the likes of heatradio ie 80/90's heat or partyheat or if you hear a song on a programme I'll try and find it

Hey I ain't no gaga/beyonce fan here I am open to all music from all decades being honest but I rather try and find a way out of this crap music (my background musically is old skool rap rnb (again pends on artists) but I ain't got time for some of the artists of today)
I can be like that kezo I heard some song on Magic, which was late 80s pop ballad, had to listen to it again even if it was a bit naff lol

I'm open to all, but hate the fanboys.

It's like as you mentioned. Screwed the UK, focus on the US and screw Brit fans.

Why does it always have to be the US to crack? Why not our own doorstep...Europe? Germany/Sweden are big markets also there is the Far East + Oz/NZ. I'd rather have a legion of fans in Germany than America.
I'll admit his newer songs (just using Taio as an example) his songs for the third album was "mixed" I would describe possibly the reason for jumping ship to US was that it be easier since you have the likes of Ludacris/Flo-rida that are well known there so it be easier to get a #1 in the billboards than say the likes of UK/Europe/further....

I would rather listen to "naff" then music that seems ripped from a keyboard

I respect everyone's views and music - you may like 1D I don't but I wouldn't have a slagging match with you about it - I would just say "don't like song and switch off"

You're right.

Yes we're complaining about the music channels, but it's BALANCED as opposed to fanboys of Beyonce et al hogging it saying we're wrong.

Internet forums are scarey places indeed. There is a football one I go on, and some of them are people in their 50s/60s thinking they are stuck in the 1970s and very right-wing and Tory mad.

Yes football is in a bad state....but no need to have Maggie Thatcher-esque ideals and force them onto people because you don't like the modern world.
What are fanboys? Boys that love Beyonce? Same as fangirls that love boybands etc?

I'm not against internet forums, or scared as such, just I find them bizarre. I guess it's people who don't have a voice in life, or just don't have a life, amongst all of us who don't really take things that seriously.

I was talking on another thread earlier and called some people (not on DS) frumpy backside kissers - apparently that is offensive. They live in another world to me.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=39l6qHHZx-c

Nothing wrong with looking for/listening to anything, but I hate it when people tell me what to like.

Hell, if a Beyonce fan came on here and said she was great, so be it. If they came on here and told me I had to like her and I was stupid for not doing so....that's different and very insecure of them.

Hey, I love Cascada, I've never met anyone else who does - most ask 'who?'

Fanboys are people obsessed with one act or one thing and can be of either gender e.g Apple obsessives lol

I think you've a valid point there about them. Its a reason to sound off and give your view, yet in real life it will probably never get heard.

I just hate people who take things way too seriously such as this football one where they hate anything new. It's as if with some it's a sin if you don't watch a game live every week! People have families, friends, jobs, money worries. Get real!

Well yes, with the English accent parts.

Oh right. I love Britney and Cascada....that's two, so i'm not a fanboy Not sure about obsessed...I do lead a life as well and do other things . Apple obsessives? As in the Apple company that make iPhones?

I love football but don't have time or money (even though my kids are young adults, I still see them as kids) It's expensive to watch football these days.

Couldn't believe it when I heard it.

Yeah, i'm not going to try and sell my favourite acts to you - if you like them, ok, if you don't, more for me

Rick was massive for a few songs. He cracked the US easily. Could have gone on to be one of the most successful artists in UK history - we'll never know now.

Apple as in Iphone yes. I would not say you are a Cascada or Britney fanboy, you don't force them down our gobs.

It is expensive. OK, I have moved 80-100 miles from my hometown Birmingham, but it was £30-40 a time to see Birmingham City play! There is a recession on ffs.

This is just a curious one but I think see when you have "countdowns" on VH1/Heat (example) they say certain artists are "one hit wonders"

here is a few .... Culture Beat, Barenaked Ladies (Ok bigger US side than UK but no way in hell one hit wonders do intro to Big Bang Theory) The Mavericks (have a new one out) again would these people who done these "countdowns" make these changes or is it we live with it?

I think the compilers just put any random crap into a countdown. All the acts mentioned had/have careers even if success was limited afterwards.

The closest we have to a one-hit wonder now is Goyte.

It still would help if they did research than just compile and "label" someone a "one hit" wonder - again even if it was limited success they still done it but it shouldn't be automatic - oh one song charted but the rest failed ... well technically they were still released! (idiots!)

If Gotye is a One Hit Wonder does that mean Guetta is a One Beat Pony?

Nah, wouldn't do that.

People who pay to watch clearly have no money issues.

Culture Beat had at least two. They often say people with more than one hit are one hit wonders if they don't have two big hits.

Yep, music tv at it's finest - forget the rest.

Goyte, yes. Wonder if will ever return.

Does anyone know of a good program to download flash videos?

I found on youtube at least 5 of their songs!

I think if it was researched, people would recieve a better countdown that is balanced.

LOL that's true....Guetta needs to give it up.

I think Goyte will just make as much money of his annoying track as much as possible. He will be back, but with no success.

I think a lot of these people who watch these matches (some lower league which are often free yes free to £10) have no regard for loved ones or obsessive.
