Just like the Million Vote which was ruined by people spamming Britney, Spice Girls and Take That, this is already looking like a George Michael spamming competition.

Talking of Take That, Rule The World was just played on MTV Classic's 00's Christmas. Huh?”

Saw it on a Christmas show on 4Music yesterday! What the hell does it have with Christmas? Surely their Christmas gift should be paying all the tax that has been dodged back and letting it fund a hospital?

Yes 4Music is crap. Their obsession with the Kardashians is worrying - they should have their wealth taken off them and forced into prison.

I see Teleshopping returns to The Vault and Bliss/Blissmas with The Vault having teleshopping from 2-3am and then Bliss/Blissmas at 3-4am , only an hour though not like the 3 hour block they had before.

Really?! Argh that must be annoying That's one of the best parts of the song and it's not gonna gain them any viewers. People will turn to the 'net where they can watch music vids uninterrupted. Why do channels cut off songs all the time? Is there any reason for it?”

She'll wear her Cliff T Shirt

Some channels like to boast they play more tunes per hour than anybody else.

Others just want fillers until they can play another Beyonce/Justin Timberlake song.

I saw it earlier on Smash Hits on Olly Murs show - probably Olly Murs choice as he's mates with Robbie.

Ideally they'd pay back the tax and more. Still some people think it's alright when it's their favourites doing the tax dodging.

Never watched the Kardashians - the ads are enough to put me off.

Great. Possilbly just slowly getting back into the 3 hours by starting with 1.

The Vault once had a Girls Aloud concert that they couldn't stop playing - maybe 3 or 4 times a week (not the twice a day Beyonce nonsense).

Maybe they performed it at that concert and they'll take the clip from that?

I doubt it. I think she'll probably be wearing one of her low cut dresses My eyes are gonna bleed if she's wearing one. I just hope the seminar is interesting though. That's what it sounds like and maybe that's why some of them play the same 20 songs on a loop. It's madness really!

A low cut dress in December?

All down to labels, who they like at the time, being able to say they play more tunes etc. They don't really care about music at all.

I wouldn't be overly surprised She'll probably wear a jacket over it though. Anyway it's really warm in most college buildings. I think that's the same with radio. Aren't some stations paid by record labels to play certain songs? I remember reading that in another thread over in the Music section.

Most places overheat their buildings.

Labels have an element of control over radio stations/music channels. Clubland is the obvious one as they are the label aatw in disguise, hence Tulisa's over promotion right now.

When you see these people presenting shows on music tv, they are often promoting their label mates and as more and more labels are disappearing, the big few are taking over.

Did you watch any of the Britney 'Birthday' programmes today? Same as usual just different programme titles.

Tell me about it! It's ridiculous. I always end up falling asleep in hot buildings. Well I'll know in a few hours what she decides to wear. I've noticed that loads of times and it's one of the reasons I don't listen to mainstream radio. I personally don't think it's right but there you go. No I didn't get a chance Wish I had since I'm going to my fave lecturer's seminar

I don't like the heat - I usually get banished to the other room for music TV this time of year as I don't put the heating on

I don't listen to radio at all. My new phone has 'Deezer' on it. It says it's free on non Premium+ so hopefully I won't suddenly start being charged!

Ah, only The Vault did anything. 2x Birthday Girl Britney (x 1 hour each) and a Britney v Justin v Christina 2 hour programme.

Clubland taken away voting on the 'Classix' day again. Worst thing is, they are playing current music in with the classix and calling them classix - Tulisa's new tune has appeared twice in 90 mins so far plus their obsession with their mix. No sign of Alesso/Tove or their other obsession right now "I'm an Albatroaz" which I find quite comical.

My dad has a habit of leaving the heating on all the time and it does my head in. It makes the house really hot and sometimes I end up falling asleep. Anyway I went to the seminar and yes she was wearing a low cut dress Looks like I was right! Sounds like The Vault is the go-to channel for one's Britney needs these days

Not to mention expensive!

Not a red catsuit?

Britney is quite popular on The Vault. Heat occasionally, although her current programme is Justin and Britney. They'll never catch on that this finished over a decade ago.

Exactly. We had a bill of over €1000 one winter Nope. I bet she would look good in a catsuit though I guess I was right when I said she would wear a low cut dress. How dod I know she was gonna wear one? It sounds like someone is stuck in 2002/2003 there. Britney and Justin haven't been dating since 2003 IIRC. She married K-Fed in 2004.

That would have been better shoved over to its sister station E4 - I think Bauer/CH 4 are finally losing the plot of this channel - it has no real meaning these days sadly, but then again I am under the assumption this is their take on "MTV" - Quality Car Crash TV

4Music has upwards of 13 hours of music content every day. I don't really understand this whole argument that they don't play music videos anymore.

I think its either most of the time the music videos they play are basically the top 40 on repeat its only at weekend the music varies but again its chart based as well. This is also another channel carrying the infamous "teleshopping" service, why can't these "music" channels then just return to being 24/7, I do think in a way viewers are being cheated, if they don't want to play actual music then why not start getting rid of them or is it some sort of income issue?

Could be worse, could be Viva.

4Music does imply it's fully a music channel though. Maybe a name change is needed as if I tune in to 4Music and it's showing crap reality shows, i'd feel a little shortchanged.

Euros? Where do you live? Spain?

I reckon she reads here.

Music channels are stuck in the noughties. Some don't have proper websites, some don't have a contact option and some don't have apps.

No I live and go to college in Ireland and we use Euros Wouldn't mind living in Spain at this time of year though. I could do with some sun and heat Do you really think she reads here?! I hope she doesn't Haven't seen her again since the seminar last Wednesday. Maybe she's gone away to somewhere hot and sunny. I think the music channels should be more interactive than they are. They should allow people to text or tweet in song requests or questions or even have their own apps. I don't know why they haven't moved into the 2010s yet.

I agree with you on that - but the channel by night really is reality crap from the Kimye and then basically showing old 8 out of 10 cats with peep show etc, its basically another E4, surprised that even older programming ain't appeared on there (excluding Ren/Stimpy), Irony of it all really since its a Channel 4 station they have a back catalogue of some archived material on their on demand service that barely gets the light of day on any of their other channels so whats the point?

As for Viva, glad to see the back of it on Freeview have to contend with it on VM though - thats another wasted channel in my mind, started off well and that too is scraping barrels these days - seems like whatever MTV UK touches it runs to the ground (but then again hardly surprising with their crap music channels these days)
