Has it been replaced by the European version again?

I noticed they were using a VH1 Shuffle bumper with the old logo, as no new bumpers were made for the new graphics. MTV really don't put any effort in to VH1 now.
VH1 is pretty much .... not cared for, you see it with the bumpers they run for MTV and now Channel 5, its a pity they could have made more of an effort with VH1 that they seem to do with MTV but again I forget this generation in control at MTV really think that everyone must go to MTV for the latest reality fix , I think MTV now has sunk a new low now with putting on Celeb Big Brother I wonder how much further they will go next but wait..... I noticed they now have Ex on the Beach (2x30 min episodes) on during the day ... didn't take long for that to happen may as well egg them on to put on Geordie Shore on daytime play since well what the hell its MTV!

Why not just put CBB onto VIVA - CBB really are they that much "Celebs", Big Brother has passed it - I just find that MTV are pushing more and more of other shows but they hardly care for VH1 thats my main problem

Big Brother worked better on Channel 4 but since Channel 5 have ran it its like watching an episode of TOWIE and as for it being a Celeb edition - we are scraping barrels aren't we not majority out of this lot recently ain't much "Celebs" are they apart from Alexander O Neal the others I couldn't give that much of a toss what they do and who they are!

The re-vamped schedule only lasted for a few weeks then it fell back in to 'Greatest Love Songs' '80s Power Ballads' 'Love At The Movies' 'The Power Of Love' all the time. Even the upbeat pop tunes at Breakfast got replaced by tracks like R Kelly - I Believe I Can Fly followed by Mariah Carey screeching. Thoroughly depressing stuff.

I thought VH1 was bad 2 or 3 years ago but the variety of music and themed slots back then was vast compared to now.

Bring back Novelty Number Ones, One Hit Wonders, 80s Disco...

More like bring back VH1 of the 90's early 00s - I am surprised that the controllers at VH1 seem to think the viewer is all they want is ballads and love songs, play more rock, disco, motown (basically every genre of music out there!), give Vintage TV credit but they seem to at least try and dig deeper than VH1 does!

Somebody at Clubland clearly doesn't know their dates. Come With Me by Special D was released in 2003 not 2006.

They had the same issue the other day with dates all over the place. Knowing Clubland it's more technical errors.

MTV Love goes back to MTV Classic tomorrow.

I await MTV Easter with endless plays of David Guetta vs The Egg and shows such as Eggceptionally Good Hits and Egxample's Biggest Hits.

Can someone explain this one to me.....(got no problem with artist/song/video)

Iron Maiden - Bring Your Daughter to the Slaughter .... when VH1 ran the "every #1 from 1980-now" (this is going way back....), the video could not be aired but I noticed it on Kerrang TV played in full, can someone explain this? I took it as if there was violence in the video but from viewing it for myself I seen next to no issue so why was this under a "ban list" back then but is able to be played now? Yet other songs ie Britney One More Time/Madonna Hung Up are now being ripped to shreds for no real reason (well full length video)

I think its still going as its now being more used for pushing MTV's own programming and on the odd occasion highlighting a Channel 5 show ie Celeb Big Brother/Ex On The Beach recently -- maybe the reason is that they are doing a grand job alienating the older generation from its channel and pushing/gearing towards a more of a young MTV generation?

I see the bumper at every ad break still says MORE VH1 .... what exactly is "MORE VH1" its more like MORE MTV I could understand if we had trailers for VH1 programming but there is next to bug all in ads for this channel

Different channels, different rules, I guess.

Heat have just started cutting videos off so they can play more ads but say they play x amount of tunes per hour.

It's a username chosen by one of my girls, but yes, it is us, although I was out for much of yesterday so if it was in the day then it was probably one of the youngsters. 'NatBrit' is another nme on another device.. Not sure on the Planet Pop names as not used much, but pretty similar I think.

Doubt it She has a Twitter account but never uses it. I had class with her today and she was in her "you'd better work bitch" mode. She gave us the essay requirements for her module and she's being really strict She has a cold so I didn't go too close to her and no I didn't hold hands with her. It would've been out of the question in her condition

You can't catch a cold by holding hands

In other news..

Vault - played a song from the 70's - Abba's Dancing Queen.

Clubland - 6 hours of the same 25 songs on the App.

Would Viva really class as primarily a music channel anymore, its shows more MTV programmes and reality shows than music videos now, its gone towards more of a general entertainment channel now..to a lesser extend 4music aswel..i always wondered is there restrictions that channel have to stick to their genre?,or can they really show what they want

I know, but she said to stay away from her and not be too close to her I did walk near her though so I could chat to her. Anyway I don't have the guts to hold hands with her

I know why the music channels are in a dire situation. There is NO regulation of TV channels any more, and OFCOM is just a regulator where the bare minium has to be achieved. If the IBA existed, these channels would either be shut down or made to live up to their names and provide quality.

4music only seem to care about the slightest 1D gossip and their focus is on....the workshy Kardashians with one of them splitting from a boyfriend. The Kardashians are what is wrong with the world.

That baffles me more and more OFCOM should be stepping in and PROPERLY regulating the networks on what they are meant to do/stand for, but it seems OFCOM are more worried about complaints of say a swear word after 9pm or basically a fake documentary on 4 about UKIP than actually looking at the channels output and giving them a hard slap for any wrong doing

The Kardashians and that whole genre (no matter the angle you want to look at it be Big Brother or X Factor etc) its mindnumbing to watch but then again we live in a dumbed down society these days where we have to Politically Correct

OFCOM is a tool for the Church and the state - and that's no matter what their colours are. It's more prevalent now as we've a Conservative/Lib Dem government and the churches get more of a say. Someone a while back posted a link to an add in 1988 warning about de-regulation of TV channels, 27 years later the warning was right.

I do agree re: Kardashians - Big Brother and the like have a role to play.

Its sad really, but these channels need a kick up the ass!

NEW TO 4MUSIC previously ran on Comedy Central - Anger Management, is 4Music basically morphing itself into another Viacom channel by any chance? It recently repeated Ren/Stimpy from Nick and now this from Comedy Central - whats next? (pretty sure they aired Celeb DeathMatch)

aaah the good ol days of tech faults that happened on The Box - oh wait this happened on 4Music you say? I thought these channels ran like clockwork and was well pretty much automated, oh well it seems like the system must have gave up - as far as I remember when tech faults happened on The Box, system would freeze - go down then someone would "reset" it back then it eventually ran back to normal (par requests flooding in to get the system going) however when MTV/VH1 crashed they would repeat a set of songs without their on screen graphics ie Artist/Title but I think they kept their logos on but they were "lighter" than being dark (speaking this one as for MTV) then when problem was sorted the pre-recorded videos would be cut off then back to normal (MTV these days is a tech fault on screen, keep it on display if problem has not resolved keep it on then deal with it - yet you think this lot with Teleshopping on it resolve issue whilst thats on but obviously not)

Ofcom have ruined television with their over the top fines, rules and 'investigations', TV channels are scared of Ofcom so they've had to dumb town so they don't get punished.

There is no need for them to intervene as much as they currently do and I can guarantee that the Bauer/Emap channels would still have premium rate selections today without Ofcom.

I don't understand the fascination with the Kardashians at all. What do they actually do??? Why are people so interested in their lives?
