I watch it a fair bit for the cop shows but I will admit it's not much better than Bravo. There has to be a Bravo 2 so they could expand maybe add some MTV content.

They have a couple of MTV shows on 5* ... do we really need more stuff coming out of MTV UK just to fill gaps?

I agree that Spike ain't like Bravo (preferred Bravo with Adult Swim era), but it shows Disorderly Conduct (preferred the Bravo edit of the show and being on for an hour), Channel 5 have edited it down to 30 mins and claim its "2015" ... it was out in the late 00's just rehashing it up, If I want to watch cop shows i'll either stick to Pick with Most Shocking/Daring series or watch CBS Reality for Cops/Cops:Reloaded

Its the only Channel 5 without a +1 so close one of the music video channels for it, Timeshift channels would get better ratings then music videos these days especially if they show rubbish music.

Just tuned in after a few days away - they seem to have got worse!

Whereas I could find something before, very little on it seems and my offspring say it's been like that for a few days.

The Vault seem to be showing more and more Sabrina's, Saved By The Bells & S Club programmes and it seems their charts and random programmes are filled with urban pop. Current chart on has all been r&b/urban pop and other programmes are the same - has someone else taken the reigns?

Some of the MTV Channels and Bauer channels have gone X Factor potty, so it's killed them and Heat have gone away from the 00's side of music and started going all current much like The Box and Smash Hits.

God knows what the rest are up too. Bliss seem to have 'days' of late. A Girls Aloud day, a Take That day and The Script days and Chilled is pants.

I'm watching less and less for many reasons but their are other avenues than this load of rubbish on right now. It may be time to put some of them out of their misery,

They may as well just go down the general entertainment route lets be honest, just have MTV, The Box and VH1 again (I wonder if this going to happen sooner than later) - for starters all MTV's sister channels advertise MTV programming "this programme is on MTV ... go to it" VH1 next to nil advertising for its own material (again MTV same as VIVA), The Box/4Music at least cross promo but its other channels advertise either or...Its also sad seeing these channels move away more and more but then again look at the documentary channels they too have jumped the bandwagon ... time for closures I reckon

As for MTV/Bauer going X Factor potty ... its that time of year again but I bet you won't see this lot feature songs out of Strictly will we?? Looking at VH1/MTV Classic on this!

4Music - 21 Pop Songs That Changed Our Lives.....usual suspects - anything in the last 8 years to be fair. Ed Sheeran didn't change my life, "Thinking Out Loud" has been terribly overplayed and just won't die. I reckon there should be a mercy rule to put some songs to bed. Now "Blurred Lines"....it's funny since that was released, mainstream music has gone downhill big time.

I don't think there is anything "memorable" for the 2010s.

I include Channel 5, 5*, 5USA, Spike, Comedy Central, Nickelodeon and Bet in your list as you forget they owned by Viacom too.

Chill tv has been a let down too much 90's pop and recent dance average tracks.

It's a really poor channel. Good idea but if none of the mixes are actually chilled like the chilled albums or former radio channel it's pointless? It's just Bliss under a new name.

It won't be long if ratings continue to drop. We've stopped watching as much because of the content being so poor and now Heat have forgotten the 00's and gone all current. Really, what's the point?

They don't have any creative freedom it appears.

CS Dance had a request show earlier - tweet in etc - I could swear my requests weren't even moving the bars. I then search to see if anyone has tweeted the winning song on a few occasions - not one request. It seems they just pick the songs themselves and make you think you are requesting. I think sometimes you are, but their are untouchable songs that must always be played, voted for or not, so it's clearly CS Dance picking them.

I noticed this on several occasions. I voted for Dirty Vegas - Days go By the other night shortly before 8pm and it cut the video out just 27 seconds in so they could play a whole out of crappy Pitbull ! It really is poor of them to do that.

Look at the state of Comedy Central these days - its a mess now, where is classic comedy they use to broadcast or is it too PC to broadcast?

But you don't really see much cross promo of 5*/5usa shows on MTV/CC or BET - it be different to say we had an ad for BET on VH1 for a change as they are advertising another channel but of course MTV UK/Viacom is not their aim

If ratings is a concern with this lot then why are they not improving the channels but ... oh wait they don't care but as mentioned if the soul purpose is to mostly aim the viewers towards MTV/CH5 then save all the bother and close the channels down or is there more to it?

Regarding Heat, I get confused by this channel mostly - this should at least become a classics channel for Bauer or even Smash Hits but how many channels need to be modern day music on them - its just too much

They do cut the last song so they don't run over but they could just cut a song out from one of their random programmes later. It is annoying.

Heat have in the past couple of weeks cut most of the 00's music out and gone all current/recent. The good bits they had have gone to be replaced by songs that are everywhere anyway - Jess Glynne and Rita Ora are big faves right now as they have done programmes for them.

Viva have a strictly programme tomorrow - songs from Jamelia, Peter Andre and The Wanted!

I see that with Heat Club50 - already in Justin Bieber new track but as you say and was predicted all current songs from what I seen

VIVA the ONLY MTV channel that puts something with Strictly on (supposedly), I doubt we will see the songs replayed on MTV Hits by chance since we all know all these channels repeat one another in rota

Too PC for Comedy Central? I'm constantly surprised by what that channel broadcasts during the daytime at times. Especially during advertisements for their own Programmes. I don't think they're too bothered about PC.

I agree though they do pretty much just rely on Friends and Impractical Jokers these days.

I'm surprised the likes of Spitting Image, Rab C Nesbitt, Married with children and the like have never been repeated on CC Extra.

I rarely watch Comedy Central/Extra these days, up to the point when Everybody Loves Raymond was on but I agree the daytime output is bad, especially the Friends marathon just why?? It was bad enough 2 1/2 men was on constantly but thats what I don't follow say the US counterpart probably has alot going for it - varying schedules but here in UK its stuck in a timewarp

Yeah, Heat is done for I think. Pointless Bauer having 3 channels pretty similar.

Saw on CS Dance yesterday that Avicci has renixed Faithless - Insomnia. Terrible

I wouldd scrap Smash Hits in favour of Heat if it just stuck to "retro" music than being current - you could really say that for MTV Hits or VH1

Oh god no - Avicii has remixed Insomnia by Faithless, i'll stick to the original again I presume short on ideas but lets kill a song off now

Found a song courtesy Heat Radio - Party Heat - Booty Luv - Say It (actually quite good)!

Bauer should make Kisstory a music channel. I listen to the radio station a lot and it plays a lot of 90's/early 00's that don't get played on the music channels.

Saying that why not just convert Heat or Smash Hits into Kisstory - but if this did happen would we really expect them to go down the "radio" road of playing tracks or would we expect the same tracks they play at times on countdowns on KISS? As previously mentioned with 4Music couple weeks ago when they aired 90's rave its proves well the Bauer channels are willing to air classic dance tracks compared to that of MTV Dance - says something to me!

I still don't understand why "classic" tracks (say dance as example) has to be aired late at night or be on at the weekend - they do realise that people watch these channels during the day or do they seem to think that people have a brain of a size of a peanut not to play anything or than Justin Bieber, Calvin Harris, Rihanna on loop or what?

They be better off closing both replace one of them with Kisstory for old skool R&B and Urban and The Box could start playing classic pop and dance too to make it more varied rather than just the same old 40 videos on loop for months...

They certainly need to stick to one channel.

For some reason all the TV Channels play different music to their radio alternatives.

I asked The Box for a Christmas song last year as they said request anything. They said it was an interesting choice but they only play current music.

CS Dance cut off one of my requests this evening 1/3 of the way in. Good job it's free

I could see it happen but I doubt Bauer have even thought of having Kisstory as a channel - but I can see that channel morphing into a basic 00's/10's "Kisstory" channel than be a channel for songs from 70's or 80's onwards.

As for The Box I would welcome it delving into the archives but again I doubt it will happen unfortunately

So Magic is now showing a 15 minutes fashion show 4 or 5 times a day.

Hmmmm is this a sign of things to come for the other 4 music channels normally just 4 music showed none music shows.
