TMF and JIM TV in Belgium are both closing down their channels in a few weeks with that very reason... 16-24 demographic show very little interest in 'Linear Broadcast Television' maybe the music channels should be focusing on the 25+ demographic instead , it's those viewers who are the original viewers to their music channels that have kept them going all these years. What they're doing now with their channels now is Brand Suicide which will eventually lead to a closure. I predict in 2017 there'll be mass closures , be lucky to have about 10 music channels left within the next 2 years and I guarantee you that MTV's music channels will be the first channels to disappear from linear television.”
People simply don't watch as much Music TV as you point to. Their are other avenues now without the ads (or limited) and Music TV is something that isn't going to last forever. Too many channels, not enough quality or diversity.

Noticed that when I returned home from work but it came back eventually. Picture quality is naff on that channel.
