Will it be full of Christmas Hits I wonder or will it be under a disguise just to go all "modern" for the festive period?

You know when Christmas has gone way too commercialised these days - thanks to these channels bringing it earlier

Music channels have reverted to being boring again , X Factor dross , Same boring Countdowns , Adele hype?

I watch music TV much less these days , I enjoy listening to Net Radio so much more these days , at least their playlists are more exciting and unpredictable unlike Music TV it's the same dross on repeat , Most of them are playing the same songs that were played to death over a decade ago which are still played to death today ' Crazy in Love ' and ' Hey Ya! ' for example which are both crap songs !

Some tracks will never see the light of day again on these channels. It's the same old day in day out. When you do see one that is rare, it's another 20 years until it's played again

They've been boring for years. This past couple of months must be an all time low and I watch a lot less now. Often can go hours before something remotely interesting is on.

VH1 played Delta Goodrem 3 or 4 times, then Bliss played it once (on my viewing, they could have played it a few more times of course) but no-one else touched it. They now have a Delta programme on The Vault and her new song is on....The Vault.

If it was one of the chosen few they'd have been playing it every hour, every day for months on every channel but don't worry, Ellie Goulding's autotuned new song, Adele's comeback and another Taylor Swift song will just cover the airwaves instead. Shameless and it deserves them right they are all losing viewers all over the place.

Clubland as well - keep putting up requested by's in programmes that aren't even on the app. And when it is the app selections, you can wait ages for your requests and someone gets 6 plays in a row. Tried all the combos, single votes, votes on 2 devices and 3 devices and it makes no difference, so i'd imagine these voters are insiders at Clubland. Numpties.

Starz tv and Chart Show Dance TV and Chart show tv are being investigated by Ofcom after 7 viewers complained of raunchy videos including Starz tv text service.

I wonder what time they played the "raunchy" videos - but 7 complaints? They take action just after 7? Why does OFCOM tell these channels keep raunchy videos til after 9pm? Pre-watershed is obvious its going to land them in the crapper, yet why am I surprised that MTV hasn't been slapped yet. Slightly off topic but how does Ex On The Beach get daytime play? I presume the swears will be bleeped and nudity be blurred but if this is the case again why am I surprised shows like this get away with it!

I would still credit Vintage TV more on rarer tracks (this is only sometimes) but I agree, I am just surprised at how VH1 is sinking to lower depths yet for a channel that is well more established to that of Vintage TV is a disgrace - most of the time the channel seems more modern than it is classic (well from what I remember VH1 was a classic channel before VH1/MTV Classic came along - but again that too from comments on here has gone modern too), as mentioned before for VH1 to have viewers it should be a channel advertising its own programming or sometimes cross promoting, its off putting as it is when you try to watch it and ads appear telling you to go to MTV/C5 mostly

They are going to show EMA on all 8 MTV channels

http://www.mtv.co.uk/mtv

this is not suprising because VMA in the US this year was also shown on 10 channels : MTV, MTV 2, VH1, VH1 Classic, Logo TV, BET, Centric, Comedy Central, TV Land, CMT.

Considering it's being held in EUROPE - It's all American acts!!

As for the music channels, well the latest scheduling on 4Music one of the days this week is that god awful Style Click which is shown a 100 times a day is on twice in an hour!! Thing is OFCOM wouldn't be interested unless someone showed their nipple or a vagina. Perhaps we could all complain and say we seen a nipple

major overkill for such events , the irony of it I have never seen the EMA;s been given so much coverage - beats the whole point then advertising an event on MTV (MTV HD) when they are pushing it onto other channels too - I give up

I rarely watch Vintage. It appears they have more programmes than they used to these days and Pat Sharp is kind of boring

Jeez! Pointless. How many people watch 8 channels. Even more reason to avoid them.

10 channels then? And these are premium channels?

I like Vintage when in need of avoiding MTV/Bauer at times, but think of it another way they at least make music related shows compared to that other lot.

Surprised why its needing to be on so many - why not just keep it on MTV and Channel 5, I wonder if the VMAS will be in overdrive next year - I guess this is the future - no matter if you have no interest in these shows they want the viewers to watch it no matter! - I can see people switching off or finding this off putting?

Regarding forum user who posted the VMAS on 8 channels - but what the hell is the VMAS doing on CMT/Comedy Central/Logo? It was Comedy Central that got me intrigued - I guess if its appearing on Comedy Central (or was this due to the fact the Bieber got roasted recently?) - Viacom must know these shows are a "joke" these days , surprised why the UK counterpart has not even had broadcasted on Comedy Central

Dunno if anyone else has spotted this yet, but 4Music has new idents and pres (replacing the 'dancers' format introduced with the current logo in 2012). Both are very 'internet' and feature a 2D 4Music symbol flying onto the screen Nyan-Cat style...

As CMT is in that list I can assume this refers to the US.

In America the VMAs were shown on 10 Viacom channels including CMT, BET etc. Over here the EMAs were shown on all 8 MTV channels, plus VH1 and Channel 5.

Slightly surprised why they didn't go the full hog putting it on Comedy Central/extra in UK since these channels show bug all - next year it'll be added to them and at a push we will see it on Nick

I still stand by my statement earlier in thread - MTV/Viacom UK has went into major overkill for a music event - was it really essential to have everyone of their channels covering the EMA's and why so special this year as they have never done it before til this year so why? Or was it just a testing ground and to see what viewing figures were on their MTV channel plus HD as well MTV Live HD and then the sisters Base/Hits/Music/Rocks/Dance and add VH1/C5 - C5+1 (Include MTV +1), still add these channels altogether it does show they have probably pushed this too far for a one off event - I got to ask if this was a VH1 show would we really see a simulcast happening? Doubt it plus it be US time for airing and quite possibly in that time we have the "happy hours" of Teleshopping - wonderful!
