Was just about to comment on that.

The BAUER channels are particularly trashy and repetitive these days. Whenever I can't find much else on I normally pop on one of their channels and it's noticeably much more downmarket.

The shows mentioned above are laughable plus there seem to be about a hundred charts which are all a variation of the same thing - UK Airplay/Fresh Music Top 20/The UK Music Video Chart/UKHotList etc. and also several 'party' variations.

Some truly awful shows with particularly irritating hosts - I remember tuning into 'Music Video Chart' and the girl presenting it was annoying beyond belief. I want to actually watch the songs not listen to this nonentity babble about goodness knows what.

Add to that how repetitive the music they play are. Even despite it being Xmas themed at this point, Magic still has far more variety than the other channels which seem to only have about 50 songs which are shared between all of them.
The Box/4Music/Smash Hits/Heat are all basically the same channel - is there any need for all 4 to play current hits?
Not that Magic has a lot of variety these days but almost the least worst by default.

Sky are telling people that Bliss will be back which seems to be incorrect: " Good afternoon Tina Blissmas has been removed from the platform at request of the Broadcaster but will be back up and running in the next few days you'll be chuffed to hear. I hope this helps " @skyhelpteam on Twitter.

However I contacted a presenter and Twitter runner for Chartshow TV and asked if it's axed, she confirmed the axe of he channel... "@XXXXXXXXXX It sadly has 😢" @StefanieFaleo

Customers who have phoned Sky have been told the channel is "in administration" which is also incorrect.

With MTV Xmas, VH1, Magic, Now and Heart all playing Christmas music, former Bliss viewers have lots of other options.

MTV Xmas doesn't play Christmas music.

It plays nothing but Christmas music. Band Aid, Slade, Wizard etc

These channels only ever reply if you're being nice about there channels. Anything negative and they don't want to know.

Bauer are aimed at a younger audience than most channels I think, at young people who weren't even born when the likes of Britney were first on the scene and more easily manipulated than older viewers.

Not sure what Kerrang's playlist is like. When I last watched they were more into what I call kiddy rock - Paramore, 5SOS etc.

Talkingof 5SOS, I think they were something like number 2 on MTV's 21st Century Pop Icons. The likes of Britney and Christina weren't even on it but Ariana Grande was. Bizarre show.

You probably only got a reply as it was out of concern for the channel.

So Faleo killed it then

It does, it just doesn't stick to it.

Not entirely true. Xmas Disco has lots of non Xmas music and they had a 00's Xmas show yesterday with songs by Daniel Bedingfield and Emma Bunton that were not Christmas songs, plus a few others.

It seems these Christmas Party shows are just any old songs. Magic's Christmas party yesterday had all the same tunes they put in there 00's Karaoke etc.

I'd imagine Starz must bring in revenue via their premium rate services so it'll probably survive.

Flava must be next up or CS Dance. Chart Sow is their flagship channel, Vault they are using for old shows and as I say Starz brings in money from the texts/pics.

Isn't MTV Classic the same these days? Was not long ago they had Blurred Lines by Robin Thicke on from a couple years ago? 2009 in a way is not that bad to a degree being Vintage TV - if (not standing up for them) a channel like MTV Classic seems to get away with playing Classics from "2012" then have a go at them as well not just Vintage TV.

I think in general the Bauer/MTV channels seem to get away with alot more and what their own output is.

Honestly in the age of Instagram there's no need to spend £1 just to see a pic appear on screen when it can be done for free online for all your friends to see. Starz is at least 10 years behind from the technology side of things , it's soo 2005! . The channel is useless anyway as its the same garbage Top 40 music on loop that's seen across the other 20+ music channels and there is no such thing as request on Starz because they have a small playlist the same songs are bound to get played anyway within' a matter of minutes later , real requests would be the actual songs people want to see for example just 20 minutes ago some person ending in the number 786 said in these exact words 'Can u play Shakira - Whenever Wherever' Starz replies 'Gr8 song but not on our playlist soz.' What a waste of a £1!!

I agree with you but people seem to insist on sending them texts and pics for some reason.

Maybe being on telly is different somehow to them.

People should know by now they are current songs only.

The channel is nothing to do with Sky anymore.

I'm surprised people would call up Sky given its a FTA one.

Still I thought when VH1 had a revamp it would be a whole new channel .... how wrong was I on that one? As for their sister stations MTV Base is the only channel worth saving to me - scrap the rest!

People on forums like this know that, but if the average viewer notices that a channel they like has disappeared and wants to know why, it's understandable that they might call/tweet/facebook Sky or Virgin to find out what's happened.

Keep VH1 fair enough but keep their ads to the right demographic - I still find that an issue with this channel when MTV ads are on or the new ones being Channel 5 other than that get some fresh new ideas to the channel as its mindnumbing to even watch

Chart Show Dance becomes temporary rebranded as Dancember tommorow. Looking at the schedule it's nothing really 'Dance' it's littered with Bieber , Urban shows and Kate Price with her countdown of her favourite songs , she's totally irrelevant since she's not a Musician/Producer to Dance music what so ever she's just an ex page 3 model and reality star. They've really destroyed the channel by allowing such people onto their channel. It's so down-marketed!

Never took the channel seriously when Flaunt turned into Dance Nation TV. Flaunt was absolutely f***ing amazing compare to what we have now.

It'll be the next to go. Let's see if CSC let a re-name last through the period it's meant to this time. Does look like the same old crap but with a different name.

Flaunt was good compared to what they kept re-branding it too. Justin Bieber v The World is played a lot on there now.
