The Saturdays have sold their soul becoming American and singing with rappers. Their first two albums were brilliant pure pop....now they are sell out like the rest of them. Aside from Kate Bush...is anyone true to their sound?
Grimshaw I would send to the frontline of Afghanistan...plus I think his friendship with Harry Styles is a bit too much if you ask me. Yes a gay man and a straight man can be close friends, but not as close as theirs.
To be fair being out and about is the best policy. Luckily I am near a beach, if I was back in the West Midlands I would be stumped. Someone posted a TV schedule from 1993 on the ratings thread, it was nice to see variance.
TV today is too aimed at certain groups especially 18-25. If the youngsters don't want to watch...don't have dumbed down crap. This is what I think the music channels are doing. Alienating those over 25.
How do you think the official chart is corrupt? I do agree. I think there is template weeks were certain acts have to go to #1 e.g Neyo ALWAYS has to have a number one in summer, Xfactor has to have Xmas #1 or the week before etc...”
The problem lies in that 'fans' accept this behaviour. If they told the artists whose fans are paying for tickets, taking days off work, not going to get much sleep before going to work/school that if they were late, fans would be reimbursed and be given the concert for free...
The Saturdays new sound is awful, but I do now think that 3 of them, possibly 4, are now so far up their own backsides....I think Mollie is the only one that isn't. I don't think many artists stay true anymore.
I don't know about Grimshaw and Styles. To be honest, I know very little about celebrity. Most of the names that come up on Heat's celebrity tweets.....i'm like.........who????? I'm not a movie fan, so I assume most of them are movie stars.
Beach is great this time of year......it's just the bars who are playing MTV
The music channels are aimed at kids. Look at the way they speak to the viewers, like we are either children or have special needs. My kids find it patronising and they are teenagers!
With downloading comes an increased opportunity to corrupt. Whereas before labels had to do the hard work and send people shopping, they can now just download from their chairs. A few pence per download means very little when the income from being high in the charts and the exposure the artist gets is considerably more.

VH1 is probably one of the better MTV channels - which tells you something about MTV full stop. Classic is the only half decent one they now have.
