Apparently they won,t show Gimme More because apparently it's to raunchy, erm she just dancing around a pole, how is that raunchy.
I've come across that before when I had the MTV channels. They wouldn't play it on her top 20 for that reason. It's not her best video but there are raunchier videos around than that. Some rap/R&B videos are quite raunchy and some even have actual sex acts in them Some of Rihanna's videos are raunchier than Britney's. The Pour It Up video is basically softcore porn IMO.

Thats the irony of it all .... as I kind of mentioned previously, its OK for certain artists to get played and even by chance get raunchy videos out during daytime, yet for us the likes of Britney gets censored to buggery, but I find it more odd they don't air "raunchy" videos of the 90's during the day per se but of course those videos will forever be kept til after midnight or just after 10pm (at least) but the likes of Eminem Stan and Robbie Rock DJ will still have its censorship in it (until after 9pm) but for likes of Nicki Minaj if the video is close to raunchy it gets played no matter the time of day
The music channels make no sense at all and i've given up trying to work them out as it really is all about popularity as to how much they play, how they are censored and how they are treated.

I'm sure Britney isn't too upset, with her millions in the bank

Clubland TV's song graphics look outdated and very early 90s looking !

The colour scheme they've gone for doesn't fit with the channel the Samon Pink and Mustard Yellow theme they have. Maybe they should have gone for darker looking graphics with bright clear smooth text , maybe use the old AATW font they used to use on the CD's and with a colourless DOG and scrolling text for the current programme underneath the Clubland logo .

Loving the playlists on Old Skool Euphoria though !
It's horrible. Trying to think what it reminds me of.

Last nights Welcome to Clubland was awful - 3 hours and they played the same Inna song 5 times, the same Tulisa song 5 times, the same LMFAO song 4 times and a few others 3-4 times.

Welcome to Clubland will have people leaving in no time.

The irony of it I believe is what was PC for myself is still too PC today, but if anything that looks X Rated or close to it these days get a free pass

I would have said MTV in the 90's was edgy but I think the channel(s) these days its trying to do that same thing with the reality shows in between but of course, the viewers these days are more into reality shows than music but MTV won't say that of course (but the trailers on the channels really do say otherwise)

MTV?

They wouldn't show it in Britney's top 20 as it was a daytime tv show (they show it on Chart Show's channels and Box Plus channels)

Funny as they show raunchier videos than that on MTV - it's ok for some artists to be raunchy and puke worthy if the face fits.
Yes they do, I think MTV is scared that people will ring up Ofcom if there anything rude.

Yes indeed, Flava tv even played rhianna's S&M during one morning, including Pour it up

You can add it manually on other channels if I recall.

I don't think you can - you can switch the Humax to STB (or "non-freesat" as they prefer) mode to get the channel, as I have done in the past couple of days, but you can't manually add it in freesat mode.

#edit

It appears you could add non-freesat channels, but my Humax 1100s doesn't have that facility.

Still has "placeholder" channel written all over it. I imagine it'll become "Chart Show Christmas" soon enough.

In the USA, MTV Hits has been replaced by NickMusic, a Nickelodeon music channel for kids

That actually could do better in the UK then a music video channel, I would close MTV Music for it.

Started today.

Only turned on at 10am so the chart is very Chart Show TVish. Not sure if the 'hits' means they'll play older music or if it really is going to be Chart Show TV 2.

Half an hour in to the 'new' Chart Show Hits and it's all current/very recent music, so basically Chart Show TV 2 - how disappointing.

I think when a channel uses "hits" its basically the same crap you see elsewhere, if it was really a "hits" channel (including MTV Hits), they could do a better job to the likes of VH1 but of course the channels want to keep it as modern as possible.

I was hoping but not expecting it to be at least hits of the last few years rather than a ChartShowTV copy.

When I flick over, it's the same songs - Timberlake, Murs, Bieber - dull dull dull.

This year we've seen extremely similar DOGS used by numerous Box Plus channels and CSTV channels - it's not just the music that these channels have no variety on.

Variety is the main issue with these channels no matter the way they dress it up .... its the same crap day in day out ....

Example: VH1 aand possibly MTV Classic can expand their playlists (VH1 could play more than ballads all year round .... than what I seen recently suddenly Party songs (countdown) appeared ... is that due to the fact its approaching Christmas/New Year?

VH1/VH1 Classic of yesteryear played MORE variety and genres these days its the same generic crap pumped out its like as if they don't know anything else apart from modern pop!

It's why I am amazed the still exist in great number.

The labels must pump a lot of money in.

Clubladn this evening - Old School Euphoric Memories - Craig David

I know Craig David is r&b and garage but euphoric? Somebody at the control high or drunk or both??

Still shows how they choose the songs on the playlist there is no real thought, just whack this one on (without checking)

Labels and money talks but I think its scraping barrels now - if labels thought these artists will be like artists like 50 years ago or so I think they are sadly mistaken

Confused about the bit in bold. Craig David is very iconic and a modern day singer songwriter with similar acclaim to Smokey Robinson or Marvin Gaye.
