Confused about the bit in bold. Craig David is very iconic and a modern day singer songwriter with similar acclaim to Smokey Robinson or Marvin Gaye.
Yep, many feel his Born To Do It album is a classic.

Not sure what Kezo meant, but my statement was one of Craig David on Old School Euphoria which if you are not aware is a trance classics programme and it was one of his recent songs. I'm sure it was a mistake, they can't be that stupid.

As for your statement, it's an opinion based on taste which I will not argue with, even if I don't share the same opinion, but that's the beauty of individualism I suppose.

Yep, many feel his Born To Do It album is a classic.
You could probably say the same about any artist and any album - again, individualism.

I certainly don't get the fuss about lots of so called 'classic' artists and people look at me as if i'm strange (fair point in some cases) ) and try and debate it.

At the end of the day though, it's only one persons opinion that counts - your own. I certainly know I don't let someone else's opinion of what I like influence me

I was joking about .... I was having a go at the channel playlisting him in a playlist he should never have been put in the first place ..... kinda like the times VH1 and the other channels compile charts/themes they are hardly checked before going out on transmission .... just sheer laziness! I was not having a go at Craig David, found his recent stuff quite good (yet never really liked him when he first came about lol), one remix I do like is when Craig David done the remix of World Hold On (was a mash up), surprised that none of the channels picked this up or made a video for it but meh!

Maybe it's a huge club smash and i'm just not aware of it

Clubland's Cascada In The Mix is pretty good though - a lot of it isn't really that mixed, but hey, who cares

LOL

Cascada - In The Mix - why have "mix" shows and not mix tracks? I thought thats the whole point of it?

MTV are pretty guilty of this too .... I doubt they even know how to mix tracks either! Bring back the days of UKTV Play (well the name is now their online catch up service), where they had a show that carried remixed tracks with videos - which was a half decent show (each mix was 15 mins) but was worth watching!

Another blooper on 4 music last night before 8 pm, they played the unedited version of Iggy Azela ft Charlie XCX fancy, they played the full swear word version, mind you MTV have done things like that during the day time in the past.

I've had sky installed a few days and i'm already hooked on Box Upfront
Then you'll also like The Box, and Box Hits as they play mostly the same music. Even add 4Music to that.

LOL

As long as they play it, that's what I want but it isn't mixes as such, just little parts are mixed.

I don't think any channel properly mixes these days more than a little when they turn into another track.

I know it's 30 years but the female in the second clip doesn't even look like the same person she's had that much work done.

Loving Pat Sharp's hair

Most of the time it won't even be noticed. Even when they edit it's sometimes a poor edit.

Just a pity it was not Robbie - Rock DJ the full gory video

MTV output during the day - you just need to see some of the trailers in daytime that get a pass mark

I admit I ain't heard of most of these songs but it makes MTV Dance UK has made a big balls up on what they should be playing thats for sure!

Did you know they changed the three stations 2-3 months ago? You're obviously aware of Box Upfront but they changed The Box and Box Hits too.

The Box and Box Hits play a lot of the same as Box Upfront now, but not all the same granted.

Good you enjoy it though even if a lot of people think they ruined what was already a bad set of channels. Getting rid of Heat for Box Hits in particular was their poorest move.

I think it may be interesting:

Can you imagine that on MTV Dance?

They'll just stick to Bieber and Derulo.

Interesting on The Vault earlier - after 9 years, they've decided to edit 'Gimme More' by Britney - taking out what I can only describe as the 'ass' bit where her buttocks move up and down for about a second.

Not sure if it was only in that one programme (I think it may have been "Big in 2007") or if it's a permanent thing now, but are we getting so PC we can't see a pair of non naked buttocks?

It's ok to sing about sex and drugs to youngsters in a 'cool' way but take this out.

Bizarre and after 9 years as well.

MTV Dance - Bieber/Derulo - when you look at a different country party playlist it just shows you whats not been shown on MTV Dance in UK --- why??? Or are they going to come with some crap that they can't play them as they ain't converted to HD yet or that they VCR's can't cope?

Britney - Gimme More - I still like that song, remember that video too well, it was a bit raunchy at time (surprised it got through daytime), but then again this was at the time RiRi came about too but of course these days censor the crap out of songs of yesteryear yet it looks more pathetic, the music channels are going too PC these days anyway - allow anything threw but anything from yesteryear censor it with no problems and as previously mentioned you got to look at MTV trailers during the day ... they allow that to be shown but expect a music video like that be it censored or if by chance allow it through

4 Music won,t even play gimme gimme more because it's raunchy, unless im wrong but yet they play Niki Minaj RiRi and some of the vids are very raunchy, either that or Ofcom are snooping on them.

Unrelated but Britney's new song is being played on VH1 (seen it earlier)

I seen that new Nicki Minaj/Ariana Grande - song crap vid good but again I could see double standards really unless its just a phase these channels go through? Shirtless men (OK), women near butt naked (not good)

Music vids these days are just that - they are able to push the barrier but stick on something from the 90's expect the same cut version to be shown before watershed and after it!

Yet the irony is they still able to produce crap ads for the network its hardly surprising!

Noted something last night: Strip Date is now on MTV I believe this show was originally on 5 Star ... what is MTV these days? It seems more its becoming a bargain basement for Channel 5 shows - I wonder if X Files will go on MTV once Spike is finished with it? (better yet just chuck it on VH1!)

As for uncut videos of the 90's and of yesteryear - thats the problem in itself, excuse will probably be thats the only copy we have (we chucked the other one), I am by no means no Eminem fan but I ain't see Stan uncut in ages...the last time I seen it was cut - but wouldn't mind knowing if any these channels after 9pm do uncut vids from 70's onwards or just stick to basic edited versions
