That's the sad thing. They have the videos in the vault but are intent on their usual crap playlists - this 38 hours is what Clubland should be about - maybe minus the Chris Brown and Nicki Minaj that i've just spotted, but 99% of it as at least a form of dance.

Kudos to Clubland TV actually playing some proper dance. Who needs Minaj etc...they hijack all the other channels.

It wouldn't work, there's no MTV 2 to make MTV 3 or Comedy Central 2 to make Comedy Central 3 and timeshare channels are pointless. You're so obsessed with channel brands i.e. UKTV's channels and your crusade to get them to try and change all their names back to boring UKTV. Putting 'Lite' on a channel name e.g. E4 Lite which you've been posting about for years is also the worst thing ever!

I think Viva is quite a good channel but since they went free to air on Sky they've stopped showing South Park But they've increased on other shows such as Whitney and Awkward.

Let's face it, Freeview doesn't need 24/7 music channels. There's a limited amount of space so it should all go to General Entertainment channels as Freeview viewers don't get much.

I've got a copy of Scream & shout - only as I like to collect Britney CD's (amongst others) the worst thing she has done though, bar her Madonna colab.


It will be the same shows about the same artists back to back with a few UK Hot 40's.

Clubland - last night they played 8 of the 9 Cascada's in 1 hour 15 minutes after my requesting.

This morning they have played 8 of the 9 Cascada's in 40 minutes - 9 out of 14 songs, including 4 in a row, after my requesting.

Apparently the playlist was selected by hundreds, if not thousands of Facebook users (not me, I don't use Facebook). It appears despite this, the vast majority are not voting/requesting.

They don't play the 9th Cascada song - i've noticed in the past whenever you request it, it never gets played which tells me something is wrong with the selection number. I have informed Clubland of this in the past, they just never take any notice.

So they managed to play 8 out of 9 Cascada in a way its good (don't have channel and can't say) but bit fishy why not to play the 9th if number is available (or how its requested) it should be played no matter (thats the way The Box use to run - unless system fault)

and as for the countdowns - I am bored now of them can we something fresh to these channels for god sake!

Something is wrong - over the past few months, even longer, this one song never gets played when requested, all of the others took one vote and i've voted for this one on 3 phones, but nothing......yet.....

I don't mind top 5's or something, even top 10's occasionally, but countdowns that are longer. 50's and 100's are pointlessly long - no-one can sit through that amount of time.

Which is the 9th song? If it's any of the bad songs i.e. Evacuate The Dancefloor then it's a good job they aren't playing it.

They played a few Cascada videos back to back this morning too.

Yep, I was voting and they played them back to back pretty much immediately - 8 songs in 40 minutes.

I use to watch the countdowns to at least halfway but now countdowns ain't worth it or a "challenge"

I did however one night spend a whole night watching VH1 (part of every #1 from say 1980-2005) waiting for LL Cool J Ain't Nobody ... and oh look at that time of broadcast no teleshopping

going back to Cascada possibly channel is being awkward as usual or its "popular" to the management still

I think that is the one problem with these channels they have nothing "challenging" to the viewer its just tired worn out countdowns (or never researched before hand) and the heavily bombardment of NEXT WEEK ON GEORDIE SHORE - CATCH IT SUNDAY 10PM ON MTV --- right then get a grip! I just gripe the advertising of MTV shows plaguing their other channels we all ain't "teeny boppers" wanting to watch people getting ratassed on TV and watching them all sucking each others mouths off! (and yes this sort of ad was featured for the valleys with the 2 guys kissing - was surprised seeing it played during the day!) .... guess that is what MTV is looking for is a "shock" factor, I wonder if MTV is now a sunken ship possibly I reckon - the whole network is sinking lower quick, just a matter of time and there might be a backlash

Countdowns are pretty worn. Especially the ones they repeat time after time. The majority of countdowns are based on the opinions of a few in an office. Even the viewers countdowns you can guarantee on internet boards have people voting en mass (So my kids tell me).

I just think Clubland have an issue with that selection and despite being warned of it, totally ignore it.

The big problem for MTV is it's lack of power within the UK now. For example, they have Miley Cyrus's new video today - advertised as Miley Cyrus - New Video! like they would advertise many new videos. However, like all of their new videos, it's already been played for over a week on Bauer/Chart Show/Starz etc so their exclamation of a new video is lost on most viewers who have already seen it on the non pay channels anyway. MTV just have little power in UK Music, whereas the rest of the world I believe they are still a name to be reckoned with.

Heat has a "So Awful But We Love It Top 50" countdown and I've seen on there at least 5 times a week since I was able to get the bauer channels

I don't really mind the odd countdown but they should at least try to make some interesting ones and let the viewers decide. e.g. do a survey on twitter/facebook of what the subject should be and then what videos deserve to be put into the top 100/50/25/20/10.

They do repeat thinks en mass - Trousersnakes BBQ is another they repeat often. Still, it's not as often as UKHOT40.

Countdowns are fine, but I don't like them too long. 50's and 100's are far too long, especially the ones they play constantly. Magic are one of the big guilty ones in this.

I haven't come across Trousersnakes BBQ but I'm guessing it's something to do with Justin Timberlake?

Yes, it is. It's music (mostly JT with some Britney, Kanye, Beyonce and others) in between cartoon characters with the heads of JT, Kanye, Jay-Z etc just talking a load of rubbish to be honest - not remotely funny.

Won't another music channel do Download? Seems strange Scuzz don't have it....maybe MTV Live? I know MTV Base were doing something with Wireless.

MTV UK may as well be taken over by MTV US as far as I am concerned then as VH1 does nothing for me and the state of the sister stations is bad enough. MTV is looking for Talent for pointless reality (it may make a few good programmes pending on threads on DS - is what I look on) but other than MTV/VH1 does nothing for me now - would rather they were scrapped or they done something else to them as its got way boring now (this also applies to bauer stations)

I don't know if it's me, but i'm getting the feeling Kezo isn't a big VH1 or MTV fan.

Have to say I'm impressed with Clubland TV this weekend. 98% of the videos I've seen are ones I like and but there is a bit much Cascada and E-Type's True Believer has been on a bit too much.

Yes, it's been a good weekend for Clubland although it ends at 6am.

Cascada is my fault - been voting at regular times (vote, wait, vote for another and when all 8 (as 9 won't be played) have been played I wait for a bit and vote again and the songs played pretty quickly after voting - It appears not many people are voting which is a shame as a few hundred supposedly compiled the list but not many seem to have voted.

I like to moan, so when there is a chance of what I want, I vote, so I apologise for all the Cascada, though I enjoyed it.

being honest I did with VH1 say between 5-10 years ago (when MTV started phasing in Jackass I jumped)....but now I just want to avoid mostly VH1 now as its friggin MTV ads 2 - why no ads for VH1?? - that is why I aint no "big" fan of either - it comes more across the jackasses that run MTV UK expect the generation that loved MTV (be on VH1) and get the crap of MTV .... so who is more out of touch with its audience/demographic - seems like its MTV --- I wonder if MTV is being "ageist"

Cheryl needs subtitles - so does the whole MTV troopers by the look of things ---- you watching me unknown .... pity that Clubland at least makes an effort with its viewers compared to others from what I gather from here
