Earlier someone mentioned Venga Boys - Boom x4 - Well it's on MTV Classic now - can't say I know the difference as I don't watch it so close.

That was I! - aah so thats where they are appearing GREAT! - whilst I am stuck with z list trash of VH1

well its past watershed so they should be playing the X Rated version or are they in Safe Mode

Wow some young people are so "naive" regarding that song sampling Alice Deejay hell it was out at the same time (not exact) as Eiffel 65 Blue(!) I guess they haven't looked at google or does MTV fail to tell the viewer that he has sampled it ... possibly not and again couldn't care

I have heard that Don't Wake me Up by Chris Brown (pity it could have went like Wham's version ) but that song is nothing more than noise and his voice with that effect irritates the hell outta me! - that is not a song that is just noise!!

Pity VM have still not put back MTV Classic so I could see if its really that different but for VH1 I can't even describe the channel in its current form .... it most certainly past its sell by date and as for MTV letting it rot shame on them - mind you the rot is setting on Viva I reckon as well as MTV Live - so MTV must be doing something right (wrong) in their books
I sometimes don't realise something is sampled, although Alice Deejay is fairly blatant!

Aviici's version (or song of the same name) is pretty cheesy. The music is ok but the vocals make it more cheesy. I think it's Aloe Blacc, but the music stations don't actually credit him.

I don't even touch Viva most days. MTV Live is the same now. Classic keeps MTV alive for me.

I couldn't tell you the difference as I didn't know there was one - I don't view it that closely.

It's on Class of 99 which is a general program that can be played any time of day, so I imagine it's the clean edit.

Neither do I but if I recognise it or sounds familar I will say ie David Guetta song or as unknown posted up Pro Green new one (which comes across as another song again could be wrong on that one!)

I have heard of Aloe Blacc "I Need a Dollar" (prefer the dance remix of that) - but as far as Chris Brown and his noise like most of the artists that do "dance" they must be tone deaf and it ain't music it is noise!

as with channels Viva - avoid - MTV Live - drop by MTV Dance - drop by (pending who is on) Hits - don't touch Music - (again what is this channel??) VH1 - drop by Base (same as Dance) but other than I just find them that s..t! there is nothing being catered for anyone older but you got to be a teeny bopper to fit the criteria with this lot! as mentioned Vintage - I feel more suited too!

Or Flo Rida

Chris Brown should be a drummer. He likes beating things  Can't stand his music, but that boy who goes "Hey, it's Chris Brown" makes me laugh.

I would drop MTV, but it saves a fiver - not worth it. You never know.....I live in hope...

Flo-Rida at start was half decent but he has joined that lot for "dance" friggin hate it now .... just hurry and get back to your roots as its more of a turn off with me maybe when 50 Cent returns (not a fan of his) maybe we can get back into "REALity" with music?? Personally I couldn't care if its crap but if its a return to things musically (ie mix of all music I am all for it) but if its the same crap everyday ... god help me!!

I would drop the whole lot being honest - pity I would rather keep Vintage if anything the rest can f..k off!

Oh bloomin hell already been on Classic - throwing programmes around - thats the MTV way

1999 - that was a great year musically - I think when we actually hit 2001 that was the beginning of the downfall (and that is even when I lost interest in the charts!)

They like to share.

MTV Dance and Classic have shared the 90's show with the chap from The Shamen. I think even Viva had it.

I can't recall when the start of the downfall was for me. Maybe 2006? When did downloads come in? 2005? I think it was ok for a couple of years and then it went a bit wrong. Maybe 2006/2007.

I can't remember when downloads came in to play I thought it was later I could be wrong!

I don't know what you get on VM. Sky has loads of channels and I personally use the music channels and I watch some sport and documentaries, so aside Music I use about 10 channels? The family don't use much more. How many channels has VM got?

Yes, it was 8 years ago - but it's only started buggering up the charts in the last 3 or 4?

Oh the days, my much younger days

Nope - no chart show channels (wonder if they'll be phased in over time) ie look at MTV Music and BET are now on

Couldnt agree more - the "old" days where it was and felt more "interactive" with the channels and where I believe it did not get as bad as it is now - hell if I am being honest 90's was fun now its just dreary

It would give you more options. You'd get to see your Aqua on Vault

Do you (or anyone) remember when they had MTV Flux - they tried making that interactive but gave up after a few months (well 17 months according to this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MTV_Flux )

Planet Pop just surprised me - they played The Cube Guys feat Luciana - an old song from a couple of years ago. It must be being re-released.

You guys were talking about MTV Classic, Well it looks rubbish with this line-up:

20:00: Party Like It's 2006
21:00: Party Like It's 2007
22:00: Summer Festival Anthems: Top 20
