Can't stand her voice either!”

Unfortunately, that was back in the day. These days, the channels don't care what the viewer wants. I see Buzmuzik still hasn't got back it's voting system - maybe it's permanently gone, which just leaves Starz and Clubland for a couple of hours a day.

With the likes of Twitter, it would be easy to implement but obviously these channels aren't run by clever people.

Blurred lines was actually 7 - alot of fresh music stays in this chart for a week and then is dumped.

Miquita Oliver is one of those annoying people whose opinion changes based on who she's talking too. She once interviewed Will Young and was brown nosing him, then weeks later interviewed Lilly Allen who said she went to a Will Young concert and Miquita Oliver went "ewwwww" and Lilly Allen said it was quite good and Miquita's face dropped and didn't know what to say.

Clubbing TV is on TV Catchup - I just wish they'd add it to Sky/Virgin etc

I call them being "slow in the head"

as for Blurred Lines/Fresh Music - ok position doesn't really matter it should be OUT its already a #1 so ELIMINATE IT!! -- is it that f..kin hard to do so? (not you the lazy patrol)

Shows you though the likes of Lily Allen may have an "attitude" but at least she told Miquita in a way to stuff it, I don't understand why presenters do that - comes across more as "favourtism" --- its just as bad that x factor crap! - i favour this but i'll slag off others but then i'll like them

Channel AKA still has requests but they've started doing silly countdowns called T/10.

Twitter, Facebook and smartphone app requests would be really idea for some of the music channels.

Blurred Lines is a horrible song.

Never could stand Miquita Oliver and now I can receive the Box/Smash Hits I always end up hearing her grating voice when I flick past.

I tried giving Clubbing TV a chance but I couldn't warm to it and I don't know why.

That's one way of describing them.

You have to ask why it is still in there when numerous artists get dumped after one week (Cascada, Britney etc over the past few weeks) and others don't even get in it.

I don't like Lily Allen, but anything that shuts Miquita up...next person I want shut up and off my screen - Lucy Cave on Heat.

I've noticed that with AKA. Seem to be more mainstream than before the move too.

Clubland seem to have gone all Facebook - i'm not signing up just to have a say.

Another Miquita fan I see. We could start a club.

Blurred Lines is even worse as a video. Robin Thicke's album is number one now. Amazing how people buy albums based on one song. I've had disappointments based on 4 songs when I find out the rest are crud.

Clubbing TV is very European. It can play some great tunes, but also alot of duffers. Would be a good addition for dance fans in the UK or we could get tranceclubber onto a new channel

Yet the irony of it all -is these are artists they once supported ie Cascada and now barely touch is that really "label" control or is that "management" control of channels?

I am sure she is even on Heatradio on saturday morning - i just listen to Heatradio after 12pm on a saturday and 7pm on a friday, I wish the radio station plays more "old skool" tracks from the 90's and before as the TV channel itself is pointless (and as mentioned)

You mention AKA out of curiousity was MTV Base ever "mainstream" or has it became more "mainstream" ??

Well, i'm not a huge fountain of knowledge on labels, but AATW (Clubland) are partly Cascada's label - Zooland is their label, but over the past couple of years, AATW have taken more of a backseat with Cascada, as a label, so they've kind of dropped away from them and play them less - they only seem to play them en mass when I vote on one of their weekends, but they still have the exclusives in the UK for them - in fact, the last single only Clubland's stations and Chart Show stations played it. Heat once and 4music for fresh music for one week - that I saw. Bauer didn't touch it otherwise and MTV never played it. The previous video - cover of Rhythm of the Night, not even Clubland touched it

So, I don't know how labels are attached to other stations, but it appears that some stations lean towards certain artists.

Bauer seem to love Pink, Gaga, Katy Perry, Rihanna and Beyonce. MTV are the same, but throw in Kesha - MTV seem to love people who have presented shows for them - maybe it's in the contract - artists who present a show have a clause where their music gets played more - Kesha and Selena Gomez two very recent presenters who get overplayed by MTV.

Who is on Heat Radio? Oliver or Cave?

I don't think MTV Base has become more mainstream. I don't watch it often enough, but when flicking it appears to be less mainstream than AKA these days.

HeatRadio is Lucy Cave (as I say I barely listen to it for the "goss" bad enough on the channel - just play music and shut up!! )

MTV Base: just seems to play some of the same artists already on their sister stations ie prof green (this is why I think playlisting is so badly managed!)

You mentioned Kesha having a show and is it not coincedence that we have a "tinie tmpah hijack" programming on at moment? - ie best of british was one ... been a few on recently! I wonder though WILL they play his music this time round or slowly drop it (wouldnt surprise me)

Would be good for the trains journeys when I move to Manchester on the 7th Sept.

Both The Box and Kerrang are showing all videos and adverts fit to widescreen but haven't actually gone widescreen yet. It can't be that hard to change can it? Lower budget channels just switched to widescreen with no fuss at all in the past.

Yeah i listen to alot of net stations on my smartphone when im away from home.

Can i ask is your phone contract or Pay as you Go because the data usage can be high when listening to online stations , as far as i know so far the station will be broadcasting in 160 kbps which is really good than the normal 128 kbps that's a standard on most online stations.

I still have a flick about across the Music TV channels but not much these days although when i do its usually Clubland TV in the early hours of the morning just before they go over into Teleshopping.

I'm on 3 Pay As You Go with all you can eat data so it doesn't matter what I do as there's no limits. Just need to get a new phone as my One X has died

I'd get that if I could afford it.

Looks like Summer Hits has finally realised that 80's overload isn't working and is doing a SunDance Weekend. The past few days they've had bit of classic pop in between all the 80's.

Just been reading through the posts after two weeks away.

With the removal of selections on the Bauer channels plus Buzmusik..I would not be surprised if some of the labels rigged selections to get it removed. Shame the ordinary public lose out due to a few corrupt souls

4Music are showing Made in Chelsea...more rich sods with more money than sense. I wish this was France with 75-80pc tax on the rich. Tell these scroungers to have lives and proper jobs.

Unknown17 - Three with all you can eat data is a blessing you reckon? S3 is a good smartphone..I have one. Does what I wants and I have found ways to watch other music channels. Came across a good selection, and finally get to see Heart Music TV.

That is what gets me more about the "removal" of selections, beats the whole point in having them around now - may as well cut their losses and end it all and merge - or just become another "entertainment" channel (define entertainment now - most of it is utter dross and thats on all other channels!)

and yes it finally hit 4Music "chelsea" the answer to the other lot on ITV as "towie" - FFS with all this garbage get rid of them all - they are part of the "dumbing down entertainment" its shocking (and please don't remind me they say "its all setup for entertainment purposes") - its fake, once recorded they shake hands and party as usual

You should watch the come dine in chelsea! As mentioned earlier - ONE needs a BUTLER to try work out an oven! yeah rich sods that need kick in touch with THE REAL WORLD!

A BUTLER?!?! Jesus wept. Its these people who are ruining the UK. Take, take, take. Notice those of this ilk when they do work its very simple jobs without getting their hands dirty and not meeting us plebs?

I think wealth should be limited. I would introduce a maximum income: 100k a year. Nothing more or less...and everyone has to pay tax.

Imagine the Chelsea lot on £6.50 an hour?

Thing is people and the press are quick to chastise the disabled, unemployed and even carers as scroungers but those at the top are the biggest! Revolution is needed.

All You Can Eat Data is one of the best things ever. You can download and stream as much like without worrying about running out of data.

I heard rumours ... well it was mentioned on DS I think was last year that the TOWIE lot were complaining on what they got for ITV .... seems to me as if its all "decieving" than anything else - if they are rich then be rich and be happy, but your lowering your standards being on a "staged" show being "blinged" out

Yes a butler! - I honestly thought he was trying to be "funny" but no he was "serious" as even the voiceover was more baffled as to why even appear - but he did eventually get his finger out his arse and done it .... give the lad a medal!

I'll agree with you on the press/media - and I have seeing it more and your right, they all jump the bandwagon to demonise the "poor" "scroungers" and even people who "volunteer" all under one category but if you made of money its more of slapped wrist and a golden handshake ... yes shocking ain't it?? I thought David Cameron was for helping "everyone" and by the looks of it is if your "normal working or unemployed" your "hated" on but if your rich we won't touch you .... whats wrong with the picture here??

Cameron well all Tories are the same. Never trust them. All they care about is their rich mates. I expect them to take a pasting in 2015.

Politics aside...I notice there is two hours of the biggest waste of spaces ever the Kardashians on 4music. Hurry your arses up with Heart and this other channel on Freeview.

Have contributed to this thread before - been a while!

In short - I honestly think that the music channels have never been as poor as they are now. I'm sure BuzMuzik's voting won't be coming back either - which is the only thing it had going for it in my eyes.

Am I right in saying that The Box have tweaked their graphics a bit? They seem smaller!

EDIT: Forgot to mention - Planet Pop had graphics issues at the weekend, the planet "explosion" from the bottom left hand corner that fills the screen was going round and round!
