since you mention scooter has ANY channel ever played "i'm ravin" thats the only one I like from them but it seems like it stuck that far in the basements of the channels it never makes the light of day
Clubland have it

You forgot to mention the jumping on stage during Taylor Swift award at MTV US

Thank god I avoided the lot mind you MTV Live will play them though and have someone from TOWIE speak about them

Carly Rae Jepsen - was that "call me maybe"
Oh yes, that

MTV Live will just have some rubbish American VJ's presenting.

Yes, it was Call Me Maybe - and she can't sing.

CS Dance seems to have failed to win new audiences from the name change i expect with the recently pay to free channels like The Box and Smash Hits and Heat are stealing their viewers away seeing as they have nearly the same playlists which are always on TV every 45 minutes !!
CS Dance are failing as despite the name change have barely anything different. Cascada In The Mix is very welcome, but they'd have done that without the name change.

I doubt it. CSC Dance isn't rivalling pop channels and it was probably rebranded due to the agreement with Ministry of Sound ending?
They don't seem to have changed anything to the playlist or schedule since the rename , same graphics being used too.

I have this feeling they will replace CS Dance with a Old Skool R&B and Dance station mind you they could beat Bauer from launching Kisstory TV since they launched the radio station a few weeks back

I suspect they kept it the same as they want to keep a dance channel going. I doubt another R&B service will launch we have already seen the closure of Massive R&B.

The fact they moved Scuzz must mean they are worried about viewing figures as it use to be one of the stronger CSC channels.

Am I alone in liking Massive R and B?

Was some good stuff on there especially the British acts such as Maverick Sabre which the Bauer channels never touched.

It was not bad but there's too many channels playing the same music unfortunately.

I think to be fair all these dance mixes and constant Nicki Minaj was the death knell. It did loose its Identity before it closed.

You could identify this with MTV Dance its totally lost its identity to me and MTV Base ... why not merge them? Seems like they play exactly the same playlists apart from MTV Base will possibly play the songs MTV Dance will not play

As far as I know the MTV UK channels are the only MTV channels in the world to have Teleshopping. Even the US channels manage to avoid it, and occasionally they even show 'music', what a novelty!.

Does MTV Australia have its own extensive video library or does it source various non local videos from London and/or New York I wonder?

The latter, mainly.

Over the years, MTV Australia/NZ have become increasingly bound to MTV UK, from a strictly "technical" point of view at least.
Besides, several key figures at Viacom Intl. are now responsible for both (and other) territories. You can find a couple of bios here: http://www.vimn.com/press/mtv/corporate-information

Surprise surprise, so its really a "gimmick" with this lot in the UK lets put "teleshopping" on all channels, yet if they are making money from it - where again is it getting spent on? As I barely see "music" shows on, apart from the Top 40 - oh my mistake its spent on to provide "better" (use that word loosely) programming towards MTV (main) and the rest suffer .... who would have knew??

It's the only station that plays it.....they play alot of Scooter and have a program of about an hour that they play fairly regularly - Scooter's Computer something or other.

Apart from The Logical Song, I can't think of another channel that plays other Scooter songs.

Shame really and yet you would think MTV Dance would play some of their older songs but again, that lot are clueless or they are too scared really to go back

Ever the fountain of knowledge, Fil

I'd noticed their channels looked more like the European ones than the American ones from screenshots I've seen. From a technical point of view, Australia were always closer to Europe because they adopted PAL rather than NTSC as their broadcasting standard.

When MTV Dance go retro, it's usually the same songs as the last time they went retro.

I think it's fair to say MTV Dance are more about the Urban than anything else.

Yeah anytime I see MTV Dance going "old skool" it does look like the same tracks on "repeat" .... example Nomad - Devotion (see that everytime on an old skool weekend be on a countdown)

MTV Dance may as well be completely rebranded MTV Bass

I'm not sure it's at MTV Base as of yet, but it's somewhere in-between.

I'm not sure MTV even know what dance music is.

That Jessie Ware is available to select on BuzMuzik this afternoon.

Currently second in the list. Imagine It Was Us is the song they have.
