I've mostly given up on today's music. If there is an act I like fair play, but the rest - same old, same old. The sheep who buy the likes of that wank at #1 and "Get Lucky" are just being brainwashed by it. I'm all for new talent getting a chance e.g Jon Newman, Gabrielle Aplin, Bastille as they're all about the music and I can see the likes of Ms Aplin becoming true to herself even if the sales dried up.

It's all about egos and money. I'm now a Saturday's hater because they're too interested being all American and aiming for their crap market.”

Beyonce is in with Obama. She can basically do whatever she likes including holidaying in Cuba which is illegal for US Citizens, but as you suggest, Jay-Z is the man behind it.

I judge people person by person. Aplin made a funny comment when somebody else done a version of 'Power Of Love' saying she was pleased someone covered her song.....erm.....her song?

They probably all won't be all about the music if money turned up.....so many sell themselves - you'll see in time. Plan B, Dizzee Rascal - both sold themselves for fame and fortune. Nelly Furtado another.

I don't hate The Saturdays, but I do think as they try and become more cool, they are becoming more up themselves. Mollie seems nice, Vanessa I am unsure on....the other 3.....well.

I doubt it will ever go back to what it was. It's more about celebrity than music now, sadly.

I would not be surprised if some of it is true. I reckon there is dark forces behind why these artists face fits no matter what, and why radio/TV is FORCED to play their songs.

Guetta and even Calvin Harris have been paid off to produce a generic sound.

I don't doubt it. They all have one thing in common though.....filthy rich and famous with millions of fans who don't care as long as they are on the TV/Ipod.

Horrible industry to be in and it will takes years for any of them to realise as I don't think any of them have a braincell - and I include Britney in that and I love Britney (without meaning it in a 12 year old fan way lol )

Beyonce could have Jay-Z recruit her to Al-Qaeda and she'd get away with it. She could kill an endagered tiger and get away with it too. I think that is dangerous, as that shows that you get where you are through connections. Maybe this Illuminati theory is true after all?

Really?! Maybe it was a slip of the tongue? Kate Bush must be the only real bona-fide artist in the world. She hides herself, and to be fair if I was singer I would do the same as her. I have much respect to her.

You're right - it's all about being famous and money. You would think a global economic crisis would bring musicians and fans closer....wrong it's defintely "us" and "them". In it together? Yeah, you lot are. We could all be dying of starvation and they'd still spend obscene amounts of cash.

Don't you think its ironic for Jay Z's label to be called Roc Nation

Roc-Nation = Rockefeller - most powerful family in the history of the United States

The more you look into it, the more it's true.

Beyonce - before the solo career, part of a girl-band who were famous with lots of fans and good songs.

She was probably snapped up by Jay-Z and then....as we know RocNation/Rockerfeller family have molded her into what she is now.

Thank God Kelly and Solange found their OWN feet.

I'm not sure, but Beyonce isn't the person people supposedly love.

Agnetha from Abba is a recluse too.

Most of them don't give damn. Bon Jovi have recently said they will perform in Spain for free, which is honourable. He also has a 'business' in America where it helps people in economic crisis - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Jon...oul_Foundation

Alot would apologise, but it would be a PR apology and a token gift to charity to show how thoughtful they are to those less off than them.

We are in a global economy crisis and they still want to milk us dry and young people are more vulnerable and impressionable and hand over their money.

Kudos to Jon Bon Jovi. I've always had a soft-spot for him and that shows that he is genuine.

Beyonce - we know there is a lot going with her, and there is a lot of influence from her husband, her father, even herself. When she has a mental breakdown 15-20 years from now, we can see why this has happened.

I know about Agnetha too, to be fair that the way it should be. Singing/Performing/Acting is like any normal job. You do your role, go home, go to bed. Tulisa/Kesha and the like who believe in doing sex videos, flashing tits in bars and having their own reality TV show - they're just attention seekers.

Count me in.

We're unhappy, and want things to be the way they were - sadly Youtube and their like is our vice to listen to music.

Thankfully being in a seaside town, and when having a bit of cash (once a month to once every two months) there is a few decent acts who perform in the clubs. Some cover singers, others real talent - give me that over the same old crap anyday

No wonder why the UK has ever rising STD's because of these clowns in the media exposing sex to their young fan base , this goes for rihanna especially !! sex , chains and whips excite me ? really ? what a way to introduce 11 year olds to the world of Bondage and BDSM

Was a massive Bon Jovi fan back in the day. Dad Rock these days

She's a mental case waiting to happen. Bigger than Britney maybe.

Did Kesha do a sex video, or just Tulisa? Kesha in a sex vid would be one of my worst nightmares

I think Whitney was just a druggie. I don't know the ins and outs, but she was a victim of Bobby Brown.

Well, this is why we are hearing moaning like crazy. I'm a happy go lucky kind of chap, but like a good moan, like anyone.

I live in the South West, so we never get anything down here. We once had Tinchy Stryder in a club, about a year ago

I am not surprised!!

When I was 13/14, I didn't even think about having sex with anyone. I was too busy in doing well at school, interested in football and friends. Yes we had Spice Girls/All Saints - but they were not cheap tarts like Kesha.

That Rihanna song is very sexual indeed, but I do agree this has a part to play. Another factor I feel is poor sex education in schools.

I'm not against sex - I had sex many times when under 16 and was a father when a teenager and this is why I feel so strongly about it - not because I am ashamed, i'm not, but because we need to educate young people, but in the right way - Rihanna, Kesha, Britney etc are not the right way

Not sure how true it is but Google Kesha sex tape. She's a dirty bitch that one.

Schools focus too much on the sex part and not on the relationships part , sex is a very private thing in every person's life it should be no concern to anyone about who sleeps with who or who does what with who or about someone's sexual preference.

Sadly, schools focus on everything pointless. It's not just relationships that they need to focus on, but budgeting and many other useful things people need in life.
