It beggars belief that VH1 can't advertise their own shows (well they have now started advertising on top right of screen), but FFS let the channel advertise itself and its shows or better yet why not does MTV give VH1 a helping hand and give it some ads on their own channels, its beyond the joke really we have to watch ads to go to MTV if your an avid VH1 viewer!
VH1 needs to go back to its roots, go back further from 70's onwards than as you mentioned heavily 90's to present music. I still think VH1 should run shows like a rock show/motown shows etc in between music/programming but with VH1 at moment mostly top 40 and playing music not much going for it.
VH1 programming - oh I agree we need some even if it was more of the US music content on it then fine i'll be happy with it but come on MTV/Viacom get your fingers out and actually PROMOTE VH1
MTV Classic - can't judge it since I don't have it but from what was mentioned a while back the "future classics" was in my mind a wrong idea to do - basically beats the point if its a "classics" channel to play likes of Robin Thicke on it now, but of course it was probably done to see if anyone noticed
