Even her older stuff is ignored by the channels these days.

If It's Lovin That You Want
Unfaithful
Shut Up & Drive
Take a Bow
Wait Your Turn

Are probably her least trash music videos and they just don't bother with them

Clubland is having a 'Free For All Weekend' where it's just the usual countdowns with selections for 15 minutes in between and they claim 'It's a day full of surprises' I highly doubt that.
I think with those songs, they pretend they never existed. Remember, music began in 2009 according to these channels.

Hold on .... so Afrika Bambataa has not been played on that channel but is featured on an album? There was me thinking a channel actually played someone half decent but is not listed ..... double standards there!

Yeah I agree bring back the classics but actually be more open with the archive than have the same ones stuck on rotation - example Corona rather than keep playing "rhythm of the night" (just for the sake Bastille covered it) why not play Try Me Out/I Don't Wanna Be A Star PLAY THEM!! or for Culture Beat than the usual Mr Vain - play the other songs such as Anything (don't have other songs to hand/think of) but you get what I mean
I've not seen it - don't view as much as I used too as the channel has gone downhill, but it's certainly not a fave of Clubland that they repeat 30 times a day.

Be great to see some older rarer classics. I asked them to play some different Cascada songs and they answered which is rare - "I'll ask our Tech Boys to look for them" - they never played them.

Possibly MTV Classic is not pulling in the viewers so a temp name in place will bring in the viewers and I did wonder that too bit too late .... if it was say June at least then yes but August?? We're more closer to Autumn than we are Summer - what planet does the MTV Execs live - planet Neptune by chance?
Possibly. Still, best MTV Channel.

MTV Classic was playing classics from 2007 I think today? Hardly watch the channel but easily to see its nothing like as good as VH1 Classic.
Still the best MTV Channel, but not hard really.

Whoever is in charge of Clubland TV now seems to have forgotten their history and now they only play what they think is EDM. All the older videos in SteveAATW used to make Clubland TV the best music channel for that sort of music but gradually over time they moved away from their roots and now continue to go down hill. https://www.youtube.com/user/SteveAA...view=0&sort=da (Warning there's some really cheesy songs there)

And I know it's not great but why are Clubland now avoiding Scooter? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xzas5qr_t9o They don't even play their older stuff anymore.
Some cracking tunes on there.

Clubland has gone to pot.

Judge Jules and to a lesser degree, Dave Pearce.

Clubland go through phases - avoid Cascada, Scooter, Ultrabeat etc - the core of the channel - they do now have mixes of these but don't hardly play them on main playlists, preferring the new wave and the likes of Rihanna, Rita Ora and Will I Am

Heck I remember it was ALWAYS MTV/VH1 that had EXCLUSIVES first before The Box (The Box was updated on a Friday with playlists), nowadays thats all gone and it seems the channels update automatically ie say MTV has the song first be on The Box later
TV never gets exclusives - often a week after the exclusive before they get a song these days.

Chart Show and Planet Pop seem to get the most exclusives.

Clubland's '6 Hour 2010's Trance Anthems Party' is not Trance music as it's full of crap EDM and Cheesy remixes and they claim it's uplifting , there's no melodies or harmonies to the songs they are playing , They really think Martin Garrix is Trance ? lol

Give it up Clubland , Trance hasn't existed in the mainstream since 2006!

The people behind this channel really have no clue what so ever what is trance and what isn't .
Think it's best to leave that sentence at the bolded bit

The three bolded ones are played sometimes - Magic like Unfaithful and Take a Bow, as does VH1 with Take A Bow.

Wait your turn has been p;layed a bit on Vault lately.

Not seen Clubland's weeked too much, but seems the same to me

I used to love seeing the Gigi D'agostino videos and Overload by Voodoo & Serano but they would rather play Calvin Harris on a loop now.

The only times we really get see about 10 of the old songs are at Bank Holiday weekends for about an hour.

Think it's best to leave that sentence at the bolded bit

Currently on their weekend special is the EDM Anthems countdown again and then Euphoric Anthems U Choose which will be full of Martin Garrix and Calvin Harris.

21/7 voting with just 3 teleshopping.

Cascada, Scooter, N-Trance, Watergate, Picotto etc etc - the days!

Britney - Break The Ice, on Vault. Not her best, but a rarity (not ultra rare, but rare for Britney songs) all the same

Clubland didn't introduce Teleshopping until early 2012 I think. The good old days were 28th January 2008 (When they launched) to 17th February 2010 (When they went widescreen and slightly relaunched). They did improve when they introduced the current new look but it didn't last long.

On The Vault now it's Goodies by Ciara. Don't think I've seen this for a while on the music channels.

Ciara's Goodies in played often on The Vault. Occasionally on Heat and now Bliss.

MTV Classic just had Cascada.

Aaah so a new league of channels have been given first run "exclusives" now .... it comes more across now as if MTV/Bauer no longer care really.

The reason why I said exclusives as I remember MTV would advertise the video on top left but you don't see that on those channels these days

I remember a couple years ago on MTV Dance they actually played "bla bla bla" thought it was a cool video , but again its like these sort of videos are getting dumped to either late night or basic weekend play (or possibly no play!)

How can anyone play Calvin Harris on a loop is beyond me .... I can stand his earlier songs but his songs of now make me want to throw out the TV or be my DAB radio (that also goes for Example too!)

Cascada - Everytime We Touch was on VH1's 50 Floorfillers last night too. Other tracks were from artists like Rogue Traders, Fedde Le Grand, Alex Gaudino, Lasgo so it was quite different to what VH1 usually plays.

Those 2 seem to be avoided all the time these days. Especially 'Voodoo Child' by Rogue Traders and 'Let Me Think About It' by Fedde. I still see 'The Creeps' and 'Put Your Hands Up For Detroit' every now and again though.

Number 39 in that chart, I think.

Chart has been on a few times and has some good dance tracks.

It was Oh ft Ludacris

So Clubland has been advertising themselves as having a special weekend but today it's been the same EDM countdowns again. The EDM they play isn't even good.

Ah. 1,2 step was on earlier.

Yep, same old Clubland nonsense.

Heart TV has butchered Madonna - Vogue video their cut is less than 3 mins whilst the original is 4:53 , is this a new trend for music TV to shorten videos ?

Heart FM does it a lot, cutting tracks to remove certain parts. Their version of "Black Eyed Peas - I Gotta Feeling" cuts out all the verses and just includes the chorus and bits inbetween the verses.

They did the same for Jennifer Lopez - Waiting for Tonight and Michael Jackson - Thriller videos by removing certain verses and choruses.

Capital/Heart aren't really interested in music. Whenever I put their radio stations on they always play Jessie J on a loop.

Have the music channels ever played this?

MTV Rocks that low?? Maybe time to close MTV Live and its HD variant?? followed by MTV Dance? (just pointing out figures for MTV and that seems pretty low out of the MTV family)

It's on Freeview from 10pm-6am.

Some of the music channels are on Sky so they are bound to be lower than the likes of MTV/Bauer who are on Virgin Media too.
