26k in one day I think, which isn't terrible considering it's only on Sky.

166k is it's weekly reach.

I must point out that after reading this thread and others the same people have been screaming 'Imminent Closure' from the roof tops since 2006 and they're still here.

Chart Show Dance is not just on Sky its on Freesat too.

MTV channels seem to be the worst for their identity if you know what I mean. This is how it should be:

MTV Music: Latest chart hits and new releases
MTV Base Urban music only. No Ed Sheeran or Jessie J types and less chart music and more classics.
MTV Rocks/New name Either be rock music only or change their name and focus on rock and indie.
MTV Dance New & classic dance, trance, deep house, drum & bass, dubstep etc. Cut down on chart music.
MTV Hits Only hits from the last 10 years. It's currently a copy of MTV Music.
MTV Classic Classics from 1960s to 10 years ago.
MTV Live New and classic gigs and festivals plus exclusive performances and live lounge (BBC Radio 1) type shows.
VH1 Classics and rarely played music from 1980 to now.
I think that was the point of them (exactly the way you got them listed), I agree MTV Rocks name needs to go as far as I say MTV does not "Rocks" it sucks!

MTV Music/Hits - at times MTV Live is transforming into the those very channels

MTV Live - more ROCK output than the usual crap pop filling the channel day in day out (again not a ROCK fan but I can see they are on this channel wiping it off slowly)

VH1 - A channel I am more confused with these days its meant to be MORE VH1 yet I see less VH1 advertising and MORE MTV FFS but I agree VH1 should be at least an 80's channel onwards if MTV Classic is covering 60-70's and onwards (can't view it sadly)

I seen the ad for MTV Summer - advertised as a NEW channel it'll run for a month I reckon then go back to original name Classic, I expect more modern "classics" will hit the channel (expect it to be an MTV Hits 3 channel)

A similar thing happens with Haddaway, the music channels don't touch any song other than What Is Love. But Clubland does play at least 2 of his other songs.
Going back 6-7 weeks, but I knew it had been posted.

MTV Classic just played 'Life' on 90s at 9

Oh Alice Levine, her shows don't appeal to me.

Jameela Jamil is much better.
You have got to be kidding me?! She's the worst of the bunch IMO alongside Nick Grimshaw (he was better on the 10-12 slot where he wasn't trying to be trendy to the 15 year olds)

So 26k isn't the lowest......life in the old dog yet, even if CS Dance really needs a change.

They have cut back on the In The Mixes but seem to play the same two over and over now.
I've never seen Bliss and CSC Dance get figures that low. There's no doubt those figures are not sustainable and having been on these forums observing broadcasting for many years I'd be tempted to believe the rumours about CSC Dance being one of the brands Sony are looking to drop.

And The Vault is playing Shut Up & Drive by Rihanna

I don't think music channels should be closed down. Sony should test new formats, launch on online streaming, app voting/interactivity and if they don't work and there's nothing they can do then they should either move them online only or close them down and rebrand them as +1 channels/sell the slots.

Constantly calling for them to close is silly because you could end up with yet another religious channel.

Chart Show TV are looking for a male presenter. Maybe Jake has finally given up

Shame they aren't looking for a new female presenter to replace Faleo or even a Channel Manager (I'd definitely apply for that and do a better job)

I'm glad I use Youtube on my tv to watch music tv now rather than relay on the crap UK music channels broadcast.

Can't beat playing an entire Kaiser Chiefs or Kings of Leon back catalogue. Just like the good old days of NME and Q.

Seems others also miss Q and The Hits given this campaign in 2013:

So why do you obsess over the music channels if you don't watch them?

NME was a good channel but all good things come to an end. It's gone and not coming back as the brand isn't as strong as it used to be,

Ooh 4 signatures out of 50,000. Got a long way to go but I don't think it will work.

These channels are never coming back but if you want Indie then you have MTV Rocks or YouTube. Chart Show TV also plays some current indie videos.

It's a shame that Kasabian have gone down hill (they weren't that good before) as their new song is far from Indie and they've sold themselves out so they can appeal to the TOWIE fans.

I enjoyed these channels, they deserve to comeback and help bridge the gap between children and adults.

I use to watch music channels. I still enjoy watching music videos however UK TV in general is run by programme directors with a limited choice of what people want. On demand, Youtube are better they let YOU pick what you want. Broadcasters no longer browse these forums or take feedback onboard like they use to.

For that reason I'm not fussed about viewing figures or music channels and linear tv these days. Whilst channels like ITV get massive audiences for the X Factor smaller niche channels like GOLD never improve or music channels. They don't get the same figures they did in the 90's. In the early 00's I use to laugh at people on Virgin with on demand when they said they rarely watched linear tv and they spoke about on demand music tv.

Now it's on Sky click, instant download and I watch a tv show it's great, no middle man (programme scheduler) no annoying ads with Sky Anytime either!

I'd imagine a re-brand would suit more.

On another note, September v Cascada on Clubland - still playing Last Christmas in the middle of July

Last Christmas is an amazing cover. I don't know why but it is, same with Jingle Bells by Basshunter.

The Vault had some technical difficulties before and froze on an advert then went to a technical difficulties screen for about 30mins. Its fine now and showing more crappy countdowns.

Let's face it, anything Natalie does is pretty amazing - I hated the Wham version, Natalie's voice makes it.

Not a Basshunter fan. Now You're Gone was great, but the rest not my thing.

Saw The Vault earlier with that message but only saw it for a few seconds.

Crap countdowns on everywhere.

True but San Francisco isn't great.

Flava is playing 'If It's Lovin' by Rihanna, I only said last week that I hadn't seen for ages. Flava: Summer Heatwave graphics are quite cool too.

OMG Pop Rebels on The Vault is awful. Can't they come up with anything good?

She pulls it off. Not the best, but anyone else would be far worse.

It will be interesting to see the top 25 Most Requested of 2014 tonight, although I think it will be whatever Clubland want it to be as they say online requests count too and they stopped twitter requests last year, so they probably mean what people say on facebook which isn't an official request.

I've hammered the hell out of Cascada tracks this year, so i'd imagine a couple will be in there, but Clubland do what they want, so no doubt it will be Rita Ora, Calvin Harris and whoever else they play all the time.

Vault's charts are terrible. Better off just playing random tunes - I just wish channels would stop playing charts - I don't care what song is number 37 in any chart.

It will probably the same 20 songs with some crap thrown in.

The Vault could easily make an app and then allow people to request videos or tweet their requests. Let's say for each show (lasting 4 hours) they make a different playlist featuring about 50-100 different videos.

Interactivity should bring in viewers as since Clubland cut back on their requests they don't seem to be as popular. Same with the Bauer channels and AKA.

No doubt - but the number of requests i've sent for Cascada this year must see some songs in there. They get played quickly as if nothing else is being requested, but just some appearance would be good, Actually can't watch it all as up early tomorrow, but will catch one of the 478 repeats.

Nice idea, but they don't seem to want to invest. Maybe Sony will?

Clubland seem to have cut out text voting tonight too. It all went downhill when they focused on charts, meaning they are not much different to other channels. Two songs requested at breakfast but not played in the two hours but repeats of a few.

Obvious filler because they only ever play that if they're having a Classics/Euphoria weekend.

25 - Example - One More Day, which was released in June and debuted late May

23 is going to be Swedish House Mafia - Greyhound - they don't play that much.

At this rate, if they're not talking crap, Cascada are in here 7 times at least - if they aren't based on the first 3 songs, they're not being truthful.

22 will be Martin Garrix - well, that's one of their faves.

I notice this year they aren't putting the number of requests/plays.
