That one is OK I suppose.

Chicane - Don't Give Up is on now. Another I can't stand.

Would rather see something like Stoned In Love or Come Back which are never played.
Seems like it same old same old - that don't give up is played all the time! I liked Offshore but with the vocals added but thats another song I rarely see!

Instead of all this duplicated chart crap, why doesn't a station fill its programming with repeats of all the classic 1980s and 1990s indie music shows?

The Beat - featuring Gary Crowley (including Catherine Wheel, Slowdive and an electrifying cameo of three songs by the Manics in their first ever TV appearance)

Snub TV (I challenge anybody to make a programme to match that with the current music scene) The Breeders, Throwing Muses, Cocteau Twins, Lush, Cranes, Wire, Birthday Party, Swervedriver, The Family Cat, Blue Aeroplanes, My Bloody Valentine, Th' Faith Healers, The Slits, Ultra Vivid Scene, etc, etc.

Revolver

Naked City - and its after-hours Butt Naked live sessions, including the best Manics performance ever.

Have I forgotten any? I thought about including White City, but it was often quite poor.

Then I discovered this listing from 1968 and 1969, but I don't know how much of it still exists. http://homepage.ntlworld.com/carouse...ockOnTV69.html

I'd watch all of it.

MTV Rocks is embarrassing. 90% of rock fans wouldn't listen to most of the stuff on that channel and 100% of rock fans wouldn't listen to Bieber.

Stick to Scuzz
But may not be for any longer, dependent on Sony's plans for the CSC takeover.

Don't forget, if indeed you have, 'The White Room' with Mark Radcliffe, the all-too-shortlived Britpop-and-beyond brantub...

I'd like that if they added some more shows to VIVA. I watch it mostly for Catfish and Two Pints at the moment and occasionally Fresh Prince.

Not a fan of that show. It's probably the US version though.

Edit: Quite surprisingly it is the UK version. On at 9.50pm before Two Pints at 10:25.

TMF was miles better than VIVA.

TMF had some good shows such as Drawn Together, Wondershowzen and some of the better MTV reality shows.

Plus when they had music during the day there was usually the text services like Matchmaker. I never used the services but they were a bit of fun and I remember that The Hits had one called Kamasutra which had a Barbie & Ken in the corner of the screen in different positions.

It's a shame that since VIVA went FTA on Satellite they can't show South Park anymore. I used to watch it a lot.

Sorry, I meant The White Room, not White City. Well it was quite late when I posted it

It promised a lot but was far too often annoying. I have vague memories of an appalling session from New Order and not much else. It certainly wasn't as cutting edge as Snub TV, but I suppose The White Room came at the tail end of an era and missed out on most of the excitement. I seem to remember it as being quite clinical.

50 Trance vs EDM countdown on Clubland right now. Expect Garrix, Avicii and Harris.

The ratings are low and VIVA is there only entertainment channel that doesn't have a +1. Music videos get less ratings then a +1 these days.

Sure, but Viva needs to move and they can have a +1 - no need to get rid of MTV Dance.

Clubland aren't allowing voting on most shows now.

Bliss played Electric Six - Danger! High Voltage, earlier. Not seen it for a while.

I know I slate the channel but to place it with a VIVA+1 seriously?? .... If that was to happen I would assume MTV Base would become partly the new channel for Hip Hop Dance & RnB

Its the playlists they need to sort out and bring something else than the same crap day in/out and not just that cut the crap advertising for all things mostly based on MTV then it may bring some viewers back - look at VH1 what improvement have they made? - a new look, but still the same MTV crap on there - get rid! (most viewers possibly couldn't give a toss about MTV!)

MTV Base would probably become a direct rival to Kiss.

I wouldn't believe anything that doesn't include a source though.

But wasn't MTV Base like that when Sky Digital launched?? Be a bit of a backtrack if it was to happen, but then would it make them realise that they need to get real and actually get in touch with what people want and not what THEY want? I agree as well we need a "source" but as we all seem to be saying and I can gather its their playlists and lack of variety of music and music programming they are providing - I wouldn't be at all if their budget is mostly thrown at the Geordie Shore lot and the amount of revamps the MTV channels have had compared to VH1! lets also remember this lot still carry teleshopping (whilst I will give Bauer/Vintage TV credit that they don't have it - well Bauer did carry it initally but seem so far to have abandoned it only on 4Music only). MTV in my mind were the key players not Bauer and The Box but how times have changed MTV is just lazy these days where they should be using their initative in bringing all demographics together but they don't and like them and possibly Bauer its aiming to the one demographic sadly

I see that Bliss has been dropped by Freesat now (sorry if it has mentioned before).

I used to enjoy some programmes before it changed to chart music. My interest is in Country Music, and they often had programmes including this, which I used to record.

Now only Showcase 2 has country music, as far as I can see.

Just discovered 100 Most Anthemic Trance Tunes on Clubland.

I've only just tuned in and at number 54 was this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aFAhCk2ZYEk although the video was different. I've never heard or seen it before.

Unfortunately I'm about to lose signal on Clubland because it's raining. Can someone let me know what the top 20 is please?

Bliss and Flava it seems were removed on 21st July.

Reasons unknown....

Never heard it.

Sadly not watching it, but did catch number 15 by pure accident - Cascada - A Neverending Dream.
