Been looking at some of T-Mobile's internet phones and i was wondering if T-Mobile supports facebook? Haven't seen the facebook logo on some of the phone's i've looked at yet.

Yeah, course it does. There's a link to all the social networking sites on their mobile homepage.

And Facebook usually has an icon above the fold.

http://m.facebook.com from any mobile...

I can testify that it does, I've just finished looking at it.

My N95 supports the mobile version (m.facebook.com) through the homepage, but not the full site.
If you browse to the facebook.com or if you click the Full Site buton at the bottom of the page in the mobile version, it redirects you, but then you cannot get past the login page.

Not true, I'm using an N95 8gb on Tmobile and I get the full site whenever I want, although I do prefer the mobile version for convenience.

You can use your built in browser to play with facebook, but T-Mobile isn't one of the supported networks for Facebook Mobile.

Really? Care to explain?

I think bigtunes might be referring to the text alerts.

Simple really, Facebook mobile is the text notification/update thingy built into FB, the m.facebook address if for mobile browsers. Rather like the bbc mobile page.

Can't link as it's in my account settings, but if you go to Settings/mobile in FB you'll see this:

"Activating allows Facebook Mobile to send text messages to your phone. You can receive notifications for friend requests, messages, Wall posts and status updates from your friends.

You can also update your status, search for phone numbers, or upload photos and videos from your phone."

You then have a drop down menu for network selection O2, 3 & Orange are the only options for the UK. So therefore T-Mobile isn't supported.

I just use the app on my G1 anyway

I think you have misunderstood; the text updates don't affect your ability to use m.facebook.com. They are part of Facebook Mobile, but not the whole thing.

People also report that it will accept a T-Mobile number for text updates, however you can only send them not receive.

I didn't say it did. Maybe I didn't make it clear enough that FB Mobile is an app inside FB. The m.facebook is a url.

The angle I was looking at it from was that T-Mobile isn't a network FB have reached an agreement with for FB Mobile. Which would explain why the FB supported dodah isn't on the phones. Maybe a wrong assumption but can't seem to find any info on what a FB supported phone is and tbh can't be bothered to spend to much time looking!

Anyhoo, as long as you've got something you can type www.facebook.com into you're ok.

Haven't tried putting my number in as I'm not really that bothered about getting a text every time someone does something, so can't comment on that.

If you put a T-Mobile number in and choose O2 as your network, you'll receive texts from Facebook but you can't send anything.

Yes that it is the case.

Wish they would get that agreement sorted out!

There's no charge for that, right?

I've never been charged.

Although after 60(?) days, Facebook deactivate the number and you have to register again (no hassle at all).
