I think Dread Zeppelin are fantastic, good fun and a great take on classic Zep songs.

Abba tribute band Bjorn Again used to include a rock cover whilst the girls were off changing outfits - I think I've seen them do "Bjorn to be Wild" (steppenwolf) and "Paranoid" (Sabbath) - that kind of thing.

I've also seen Bootleg Beatles, Counterfeit Stones etc - some of those bands are very good.

The Hamsters used to do Jimi Hendrix Experience and ZZ Top sets - ften uncannily like the originals.

We have a local band called Fred Zeppelin who are superb - they sound totally authentic, and even have a Rob Plant look and sound-alike . . . .
Rob Plant has attended a few of their gigs, as have a few other stars, one of whom was encouraged to go by Rob, who reckoned they were "brilliant".
Bonzo's son Jason also got up and jammed with them on one occasion . . . .

Because it's highly amusing, sells lots of records and is admired by members from one of the two acts that they are paying a tribute to. That's why.

And the humour in the act goes completely over the heads of some listeners
