family mobile setup - where to start
This has got to be the best place to get some independent advice so here goes.
Does anyone out there have any ideas where I should start looking as someone who's purchased nothing in the mobile world for 3 years !! Wife & I both are currently on PAYG Virgin - spending <£10 each and enjoying 3p texts to each other. We don't have too many conversations / texts with users on other networks. I'd like if possible to move to a smartphone for occasional 3G browsing, wireless browsing at home and PDA functionality. Downloadable apps if poss. This is the best scenario for me but I can give it a miss if it makes it too complicated and just have a standard 'phone. Daughter's getting a 'phone in a month or 2 - she's starting "big school" so would like it to be attractive, have her own music on it and maybe a couple of games. Camera too please ![]() Wife wants just a mobile. Son to bring online in a couple of years (yes, I know it's a long time in mobile world). We'd all like to be able to talk / text each other cheaply and daughter will need to be able to talk/text mates on other networks cheaply I suspect. I can do without smartphone if it makes it too complicated. So all - that's us .Does anyone have any pointers for networks / tariffs I should be looking at ? Any ideas for a 'phone for my daughter ? I'd love some ideas to chew over before entering the lion's den of the mobile phone stores .
