instant record - wait for playback?
Today my wife (who has sole ownership of the Humax and its remote) was watching a program and was half way through and was lamenting the fact that she had to leave it to watch Neighbours. I suggested she use the instant record to record the remaining 50 % and watch it after Neighbours was fininshed. She said no because she would have to wait until tomorrow to watch as by that time it would be on her Media list, if she tried today she would not be able to as she wouldnt be able to find it in the list.
All of her recording is done using the EPG etc and the "full monty" very succesfully. She says that if the recording is a "full" recording you can watch the same day but there are no thumbnails , but a partial recording you have to wait a day. I have read the Manual and cannot find any info regarding this. Is she right ? |

The recording appears in the media list when it reaches the minimum length of 30 sec.

If the segment you record is less than that presumably it appears as soon as the recording finishes?

It won't let you make a recording of less than 30 sec.
I read your last post as 30 min. That seems to be one of the reasons for a failed recording where the entry is removed from the schedule. The times get screwed, you see the recording start but it finishes a few seconds later so no recording, no explanation and the timer is removed from the schedule. |

I really must learn to read!

That sounds like very good reasoning. If you try an instant recording and stop it after less than 30 sec you do get an on screen warning. |
