Stunning Duets...
There have been an awful lot of less than "Stunning Duets" over the years. Simply putting two great singers together doesn't always work and the results can be dreadful
![]() However, every now and then you get one that just clicks and something very special is produced, such as in this amazing clip... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yZoru1C9ZqA The only criteria for this thread is that the duet just has to work... There are hundreds to choose from, so lets hear them!

Only one?
Ok, one most people will instantly recognise from 1.20 on even if they didn't know what it was called http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mpT7pK9A61A |

This is by far my favourite:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WQzRFwVFIKU Both my favourites performing together and with proper mental bitch power, too. Skunk Anansie also done duets with Pavarotti. They worked surprisingly well. |

Probably some of that is on youtube if you look. Two great singers, their voices work well together and the duets are good too. |

Working my way through Mozart
![]() "Se viver non degg'io" from Mitridate re di Ponto. The role of Sifare was written for soprano castrato Yvonne Kenny and Ann Murray http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8CVGkYeRCxo Dessay and Bartoli http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2AxyhtkMLlA From Cosi fan tutte, Ah,guarda, sorella Amanda Roocroft and Rosa Mannion http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XmwtIh6UNHA And from Bellini's Norma, Mira o Norma, this one is with Caballe and Verrett. There's a CD with the two of them, Great Operatic Duets, very well worth listening to. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8LbaCEe8UM |
